Record number: 12016 Title: Mission: Impossible III (2006) Medium: Movie Actress: Michelle Monaghan, Keri Russell Description: In the entry scene Ethan Hunt´s girlfriend Julia (Michelle Monaghan) is cuffed to a chair and tape-gagged. The villain Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) treats her with a gun to get important information from Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) whose also cuffed to a chair. The scene continues during the last 20 minutes. Owen shoots Julia, but suprise it was not her it was the incompetently female bodyguard of Owen with an - since Peter Graves succesfull time - typical Mission Impossible second face. Julia is still alive and kept at another place. Ethan is later just right at her real hideout where he finds her ... ah you guess right ... cuffed to a chair and gagged with silver tape. Davian rips off the tape fight against a few baddies and frees her finally. There is good mmpphing and struggling. One other short scene in this movie: at around the 17:00 mark, Keri Russell is tied to a wheelchair (arms taped to the arms of the chair). She's been beaten up a bit. Rescued by Mr. Cruise pretty quick. No gag. |

Medium: Movie Actress: Aimee Brooks Description: late in the movie Aimee's charector is grabbed by the neck by the monster. Around the 1 hour ten minute mark the hero goes into the monster's farmhouse and eventually enters a room where she is tied up. Unfortunately there are only two quick shots of her at really bad camera angles. Her wrists are bound to the chair's armrests and her ankles are tied together, no gag. She is wearing fishnets, a black mini skirt,and black boots although she lost one boot so one leg is booted and one is barefoot. |

She is taken from the room where her kids are to an underground vault. She isn't gaggged and her legs aren't tied but there are a few decent midrange shots of her bound hands. She wears a tailored jacket with slacks. Zoe (Brittany Snow) and Lulu (Morgan York) are bound back to back and over the mouth gagged with black cloths. Their hands are tied behind them and their ankles are tied with black rope. Guy alert. Zoe wears a miniskirt and flat pumps. It’s a fairly quick scene but there are a few really good shots of her emoting with her gagged face and her tied ankles are seen a few times. There is one close up of her tied hands as she frees them. The scenes occur from approximately 1:15 to 1:22. The tone is lighthearted but thrilling. A++ IMHO |

Record number: 12629 Title: Inspector Mom: Kidnapped in 10 Easy Steps (2007) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Haven Powers, Susana Gibb, Karmyn Tyler, Danica McKellar Description: About 5 minutes in, Haven Powers is seen tied, blindfolded, & over the mouth gagged in alley. She's rescued almost immediately by her husband. At around the 35:00 minute mark, Susana Gibb is grabbed & handgagged from behind, and at about the 40-minute mark, she's seen on the phone with her kidnappers giving the good guys ransom instructions. Her hands are tied in front, she's blindfolded, & a cloth is around her neck (obviously a gag, but she has not been seen gagged yet). At around the 1:08:00 mark, she's seen again on the phone, & this time re-gagged after the call (but we barely see it, the kidnappers block the view pretty good). About 15 minutes later Danica finds Susana tied, blindfolded, & over the mouth gagged in a chair behind a curtain (another immediate release follows). In a previous scene, at the 56:00 minute mark, Karmyn Tyler is telling the story of HER kidnapping, and there are 2 close-up shots of her blindfolded & over the mouth -gagged face seen in flashback. Then near the very end of the movie, Danica is grabbed & handgagged, the has a cloth stuffed into her mouth as the kidnapper tries to tie her hands behind her as she sits in an office chair. She manages to mace him, pulls out her gag, & grabs the gun, ending all scenes. |
