| Title: The Substitute 3: Winner Takes All (1999) aka The Substitute Three
Medium: Movie Actress: Barbara Jane Reams Description: In this film's opening sequense, Karl Thomasson (Treat Williams) and another mercenary have been captured in Bosnia. In the background, a fully clothed Albanian woman wearing a huge peasant scarf over her hair is chained standing up with her arms behind a pole as Thomasson's friend is beaten savagely with a rifle butt by two goons. This appears to sexually stimulate one of the men who unchains one wrist (the chain still hangs from the other) and proceeds to 'molest' her (how she can be molested while still wearing a coat is a mystery.) She distracts both guards while Thomasson picks his cage's door lock; from whence he emerges to brutally dispense with both enemy soldiers. Not much here; just included for completeness' sake, as it were. |

Towards the end of the episode, Buffy's mom is captured by the vampire. In the next scene she is seen tied up to a chair and tightly gagged with a white cloth between her teeth. The vamp takes lots of photographs of her B&G and Buffy eventually stumbles into the room with the pictures on the wall (nice touch.) When Buffy finds her mom, Ms. Sutherland does some gag-talk before she is finally set free. Good scene overall. Begins 47 minutes in with commercials, lasts pretty much until the end of the episode |
