Record number: 1334 Title: Friday the 13th: The Series Medium: TV Series Actress: Cynthia Preston aka Cyndy Preston, Genevieve Langlois, Christa Daniel, Nancy Cser, Louise Robey Description: Episode: "The Charnel Pit" (3.20) Micki (Robey) is taking a course from a professor rather obsessed with the Marquis de Sade-and from whose class a couple of young women have disappeared. It seems he's come into the posession of a two-way painting done by the Marquis, through which someone can pass either from the professor's house in the present to the Marquis' mansion in 1790 Paris, or the other way-provided that for every person who passes through one way alive, another must die going in the opposite direction. At about seven minutes, Preston, as the first student to vanish, becomes the first victim, being shown briefly chained up by her wrists in the Marquis' dungeon during the opening credits, after being shoved through the painting. Later, Micki comes snooping around just as the professor is carrying the second victim (Daniel) into his house. She winds up going through the painting during the struggle that ensues after following him inside. A servant girl (Langlois) with her wrists shackled, whom the Marquis has taken captive, sees Micki emerge from the other side and, when she gets a chance, passes through herself, ending up dead on the floor of the dungeon-like room in the professor's house where his side of the painting hangs. This is witnessed by Daniel's character, who sits in the room with her hands tied in front of her to an overhead rope. This scene is about 24 minutes into the episode. Meanwhile, back at chez de Sade, Micki has assumed the guise of a noblewoman for whom the servant girl worked, who was scheduled to visit the Marquis. At about 40 minutes, she sits down to write a letter explaining who she really is and what has happened to her in case she never gets back to the present. As she describes her impressions of the Marquis, there are two brief head-and-shoulders shots of Cser, who plays another noblewoman sent by the authorities to spy on the Marquis, being whipped by him, as implied by the sound effects. It's also implied she's chained up at the wrists and stripped to her underwear. About 10 minutes later, the Marquis figures Micki out, and chains her up by her wrists after showing her the body of Cser's character lying on the floor of a cell. As he's ripping her blouse open down the back, her present-day cohorts are coming to the rescue. Touching the painting reveals the scene in the Marquis' dungeon, resulting in a final fight scene which yields several good shots of Micki writhing and struggling in her shackles. |

Pulitzer, Joely Fisher, Judy Kain, Kelly McGillis Description: The movie begins with fragmented scenes of Pulitzer strapped to a chair and being suffocated with a plastic bag over her head during the opening credits. About half an hour in, Fisher is abducted and placed in a foam-lined box in the back of a truck, where she is shown in close-up shots with a tight black cleave-gag. Later she is shown strapped to a bed with her wrists over her head and still cleave-gagged as her captor comes into the room and chloroforms her. Soon afterward he seats her at a table and pulls the gag out to feed her, but puts it back in as she defies him. He suffocates Fisher in the same manner as the first victim, but the bonds holding her to the chair aren't shown. Towards the end of the film, the killer tries to kidnap McGillis, and she realizes that she had escaped from him after he had abducted her years before. Soon afterward he grabs Kain as his final victim, throwing her onto a bed cleave-gagged with her hands cuffed behind her back. When McGillis comes to her rescue, she finds the room where Fisher was held, with Kain lying strapped to the bed and cleave-gagged the same way. This scene is intercut with flashback scenes of McGillis tied with her arms over her head and cleave-gagged as she is whipped by the abductor 12 minutes in, there is a short scene of her gagged face lying on the bed bound and gagged like the present victim. There is further shots of her being whipped at the 1:23 min mark all times w/ commercials. |
