The villain Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) treats her with a gun to get important information from Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) whose also cuffed to a chair. The scene continues during the last 20 minutes. Owen shoots Julia, but suprise it was not her it was the incompetently female bodyguard of Owen with an - since Peter Graves succesfull time - typical Mission Impossible second face. Julia is still alive and kept at another place. Ethan is later just right at her real hideout where he finds her ... ah you guess right ... cuffed to a chair and gagged with silver tape. Davian rips off the tape fight against a few baddies and frees her finally. There is good mmpphing and struggling. One other short scene in this movie: at around the 17:00 mark, Keri Russell is tied to a wheelchair (arms taped to the arms of the chair). She's been beaten up a bit. Rescued by Mr. Cruise pretty quick. No gag. |

Fairly near the opening about 10-15 minutes she is shown chained to a pool table with an over the mouth black cloth gag. Her legs are also bound and she is wearing a short skirt and leather boots. The gag stays on for a fair amount of time then removed and we keep seeing cut-aways of her chained to the pool table. Then near the end of the film she is kidnapped from the kidnappers and ends up taped to a chair with silver duct tape - she is also gagged with the silver tape too. As broadcast on UK BBC the scenes were at 7, 9, 12,14, 56, 58 minutes, 1hr 2min, 1hr 6min, 1hr 13min, 1h 15-17min. (in a 1 hour 30 minute broadcast) Perhaps say first 20 minutes then 55 minutes to end without adverts? |
