Record number: 16693 Title: A Mother’s Rage (2013) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Lori Loughlin Description: Lori, having been driven insane by the murder of her daughter, breaks out of an insane asylum and begins exacting revenge on men she thinks might have been responsible. She first finds a lowlife by putting herself in a position to get carjacked, and at 20 minutes into the film, that’s what happens. The thug that grabs her car puts her in the passenger seat and ropes her wrists in front of her, then to the car door. After she almost escapes during a stop at a gas station, he re-ties her with her hands behind her back, and puts her in the back seat. Lori again manages to wiggle loose, and this time she uses the ropes to strangle the carjacker from the back seat. At 1:20 into the movie (including commercials), Lori picks up an innocent looking hitchhiker and accuses him of killing her daughter. Before she can shoot him, she gets distracted and he knocks her cold with a punch in the mouth. She comes to in a deserted room, sitting on the floor against an easy chair, wrists held out to her side with medical restraints, and her ankles zip tied together. It seems that, completely by accident, she actually had picked up her daughter’s killer. He’s delighted that he’s getting the opportunity to finish off a mother-daughter combo, and taunts her while preparing to kill her. At one point, he gags her with a blue towel cleave tied in her mouth, and fantasizes about how they’re going to make a movie about him to celebrate how he managed to kill both the mother and daughter. She stays gagged for a minute or two before he takes it off of her. Finally getting tired of the conversation, he uses the medical cuffs to fasten her wrists behind her back and moves her to a chair. He then lays out the surgical tools that he uses to torture his victims, strips her sweater off of her shoulders and stabs her in the shoulders with a scalpel. A policewoman hears her cries and comes into the room. She frees Lori from the chair, and Lori promptly stabs the killer. |

Record number: 4870 Title: The Big Noise (1944) Medium: Movie Actress: Veda Ann Borg Description: Laurel and Hardy work as janitors at a detective agency, but pass themselves off as private investigators. They are hired to protect an inventor and, after a series of misadventures along the way thwart enemy agents and sink a Japanese sub. Overall, one of the weakest of the L&H features. Near the end of the film, Mayme (Borg) is captured by spies, tied to a chair (wrists to chair arms, ropes around her waist tieing her to the chair back) and tight detective gagged with a white cloth. Pretty tight bondage for a comedy, although the scene is pretty short. Also a guy alert, but the good-looking lady is squarely in the center of the screen. |

Record number: 16011 Title: Playback (2012) Medium: Movie Actress: Ambyr Childers Description: Approx 1 hour into the movie, Ambyr is walking across a parking lot wearing her light blue field hockey uniform when she falls for the old “can you help me unload my van” trick. She finds herself knocked cold, and when she wakes up she is sitting in the back of the van, hands tied behind her back and a nicely applied duct tape gag sealing her lips. Her abductor makes a couple of stops and comes back to threaten her a bit before taking her to his house. She sits on the floor in the basement, getting very dirty, still tied and duct tape gagged; while her abductor kidnaps her boyfriend. The boyfriend is tied to a chair in another room while Ambyr and the maniac watch him on a monitor in the basement. Left alone briefly, she manages to untie her ankles and runs up the stairs to her boyfriend. She leans down so that he can peel off her gag, and then bites and rips the tape holding him to the chair. After he unties her hands, they both make a run for freedom. The entire scene takes approx. 20 minutes of real time, with the action shifting back and forth to other locations. |

Record number: 5827 Title: Blind Obsession (2001) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Megan Gallagher Description: Rebecca Rose (Gallagher) runs afoul of her maniacal sister, who is jealous of her and her blind boyfriend. In the final 30 minutes, Rebecca is knocked out by said sister (Roxana Zal). The scene begins with a close-up of Gallager awakening and finding herself bound to a chair. Her wrists are crossed and secured with duct tape behind her back and her feet (she is wearing black boots) are also taped together. There is much dialogue between the sisters, including a demand by Rebecca to "untie me now!". Gallagher is eventually tape gagged. There is plenty of "mmmphing" and two close-ups of her bound wrists. When the boyfriend turns up looking for her, the sister gags her with more tape to keep her silent. She scoots her chair to a radiator and there are several side views of her sawing the tape against metal to free herself. She eventually takes the tape off her feet and mouth and is briefly shown with tape still clinging to her wrists while rushing to rescue her boyfriend. Rebecca is wearing a red V-neck sweater top, black pants and the aforementioned boots. |
