While Lois Laneing in an attempt to sniff out the skinny on a secret labor negotiation at a hotel, she's caught by the staff and ultimately ends up with a front row seat, bound wrists behind in a chair, about 59' in (in the TCM airing). Around the 63' mark, she's shown overgagged with a wide white cloth before being temporarily rescued. There are no close shots in the scene, which lasts less than a minute. About 65' in, she and her matronly aunt are shown bound with cloth strips. Ms. O'Sullivan's wrists are tied in front, and her ankles are secured to the bottom of the stuffed chair she's seated in. She's no longer gagged. This scene lasts about two and a half minutes. At the tail end of it she only pretends to be still bound to fool their guard and allow her aunt an unencumbered shot at his noggin, of which she takes full advantage. |
