Casey (Odette Yustman) has been haunted by her unborn twin brother and asked for an exorcism to be performed to remove the evil spirits from her. Before the exorcism, Casey is strapped into a gurney so she wouldn't hurt herself during the process. Her hands are bound by her side with leather straps. Her legs are also bound. She also has a ring gag placed into her mouth so she wouldn't bite herself. As the exorcism is performed, the evil spirt tries to stop them from completing the exorcism. Casey struggles several time as choas errupts around her. Her boyfriend eventually released her as they try to get out. |

Record number: 6955 Title: High Crimes (2002) Medium: Movie Actress: Ashley Judd, Amanda Peet Description: Around the 50' mark (with ads), there's a brief shot of Amanda Peet tapegagged during a home invasion. Scene lasts only a few seconds. I couldn't tell how she was tied (the intruder may have been disturbed before he had time to secure her). About nine minutes from the end, the real killer ( I won't give away the twist) grabs Ashley Judd, firmly clamps his hand over her mouth, and drags her into the house. He then ties her arms behind her back and hogties her. The hogtie is not tight (her knees not bent much), more incidental as the same length of (telephone?) cord used to tie her wrists behind is also used for her ankles. She is able to roll off the couch where she was tied and across the floor towards a gun that was dropped during the final fight. She manages to work her hands free just in time to get the gun and save herself. The scene is dark and the cuts are quick. She's wearing a bathrobe and white socks. |

Record number: 16011 Title: Playback (2012) Medium: Movie Actress: Ambyr Childers Description: Approx 1 hour into the movie, Ambyr is walking across a parking lot wearing her light blue field hockey uniform when she falls for the old “can you help me unload my van” trick. She finds herself knocked cold, and when she wakes up she is sitting in the back of the van, hands tied behind her back and a nicely applied duct tape gag sealing her lips. Her abductor makes a couple of stops and comes back to threaten her a bit before taking her to his house. She sits on the floor in the basement, getting very dirty, still tied and duct tape gagged; while her abductor kidnaps her boyfriend. The boyfriend is tied to a chair in another room while Ambyr and the maniac watch him on a monitor in the basement. Left alone briefly, she manages to untie her ankles and runs up the stairs to her boyfriend. She leans down so that he can peel off her gag, and then bites and rips the tape holding him to the chair. After he unties her hands, they both make a run for freedom. The entire scene takes approx. 20 minutes of real time, with the action shifting back and forth to other locations. |
