She is surrounded by firewood and races to escape the ropes before she is burned. Some minor male interference though he remains passive throughout. Short scene with no real shots of the ropes. Also in the last 5 minutes Reilly receives a hand gag, and for completists there is a scene where she gags herself with a stick to prevent herself screaming. Reilly wears a white floral print dress throughout, but this is caked in mud and looks black |

Record number: 2691 Title: Perry Mason: The Case Of The Telltale Talk Show Host (1993) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Alex Datcher Description: Ms. Datcher plays a cop who gets nabbed by the bad guy while posing undercover as a prostitute. She's bound wrists-behind-back and gagged on-screen with silver duct tape and left in a basement. Later on her streetwalker friend comes downstairs, wakes her up and quickly takes the gag off. Neither scene is very long at all, and the lighting isn't great (the bad guy shuts off the light when he goes upstairs), but she is gagged on-screen and lets out a nice 'mmmmmmpph' as her mouth is taped. Also both scenes with her have decent but quick closeups. A great example of quality over quantity in terms of a DID scene. Incidentally, this TV movie was Raymond Burr's last performance as Perry Mason. Action begins around the 65' mark and ends about 90' in. |

O'Hara portrays her sitting with her hands tied behind her back throughout the trial, both before and after the torture scene, which is depicted in a wide shot from above in a rather non-explicit manner. At the end of the trial, the king visits the courtroom, and orders her untied so he can perform a trial by ordeal on her. He blindfolds her and asks her to choose between her alleged murder weapon and his dagger on a table before her. She touches her own knife, failing the test, and later is carted to the scaffold and mounts it with her hands tied behind her back, but they are untied when Quasimodo (Charles Laughton) swings down from above in the famous rescue scene. |

Record number: 646 Title: Montana (1998) aka Nothing Personal Medium: Movie Actress: Robin Tunney Description: Kyra Sedgwick (character Claire), sits on a sofa, having just eaten some Chinese food. Robin (character Kitty), sitting on stairs behind her asks: "What makes you think I am not just going to run away?". Then a 3 second clip of Robin having been tied to a small metal chair, wrists tied to the sides of the chair with white rope, ropes around waist and upper thighs. Her legs are otherwise left free, allowing her to get up and walk around. No gag. About 5 minutes later, after "Claire" has escaped an attempt to execute her.(by shooting two bad guys who forced her to dig her own grave), we see Robin still tied, trying to open a door by pressing down the handle with her mouth. Hearing someone coming, she tiptoes out of the frame. Final scene, one crook has arrived, searching the apartment, another enters and places a suitcase with money on a table and leaves. Crook nr. one says "sucker" and shortly thereafter opens a closet door, finds Robin and cuts the ropes, freeing her. Robin wears a narrow semi-transparent dress and high heels. |
