Record number: 2457 Title: Being John Malkovich (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Cameron Diaz, Catherine Keener Description: Diaz plays the wife of a loser who discovers a portal into the head of John Malkovich, which is rented out by her husband's co-worker (Keener) with whom she also has an affair while inside the head of the aforementioned Malkovich. Confused? Anyhow, when her husband discovers the affair he binds, tape gags, and locks her in a cage. Excellent moans and mmpphhing offset the piss poor lighting, (not to mention that haircut!) She's bound and gagged off and on for about twenty five minutes in this one starting at the 01:08:00 mark. A short while later in the film (but about eight months later in the story), Keener's visibly pregnant character is shown sitting with her wrists tied in front after having been kidnapped. She manages to untie her hands and run off just as Diaz pulls a gun and squeezes off a couple of shots as she runs into the portal. |

Record number: 1352 Title: Carmen Jones (1954) Medium: Movie Actress: Dorothy Dandridge Description: As the title character in this version of Bizet's opera, set on a World War II Army base manned by black soldiers, she's a military prisoner being driven to jail by a corporal (Harry Belafonte). About 20 minutes in, after his jeep has to halt for a train, she tries to escape by hopping onto the slow-moving caboose. He does likewise, chasing her across a flatcar before she jumps off and rolls down an embankment, where he grabs her by her ankles and then sits on top of her, lashing her ankles together with his belt as she beats his back with her fists. Then he pulls a large white cloth from his pocket, with which he ties her hands behind her back, and hoists her over his shoulder to carry her back to the jeep. A few minutes later, after he's run the jeep into a river off a collapsed bridge, he carries her over his shoulder once more, then lets her sweet-talk him into untying her. |

Record number: 966 Title: Futureworld (1976) Medium: Movie Actress: Blythe Danner Description: In a dream sequence about an hour and 10 minutes into the movie, her character imagines herself running down a stairway and through a series of corridors to get away from Yul Brynner's gunslinger character from Westworld, to which this film is a sequel. She opens a set of double doors and is grabbed by several masked figures dressed in red, who fasten her into a cross-shaped frame with her arms outstretched. The gunslinger comes upon the scene and proceeds to blow away the red guys, then stands before the frame as the scene dissolves into a room in which Danner stands before him with her wrists bound in front with a red sash. He pulls the sash away and they embrace. |

Record number: 16061 Title: Body Of Proof Medium: TV Series Actress: Dana Delaney Description: Episode: Mind Games (2.20) The season 2 finale gives us star Dana Delaney happily trading insults with a serial killer over the phone, only to turn around and find that he’s in the office with her. He knocks her over a desk stunning her, and she wakes up tied to a chair, hands behind her back. Her ankles are taped together and to one chair leg. The killer banters with her for a few more seconds, and then slowly presses the duct tape over her mouth to gag her. Crazed killer then picks up an Egyptian mummifying tool which he intends to use to pull her brains out through her nostrils, but is interrupted when her partner comes back to the office. Spotting Dana tied to the chair through the open door, he comes in cautiously, but not cautiously enough, and the killer jumps him. In the ensuing battle, Dana tips the chair over, and she manages to use a broken piece of glass to cut herself free. This episode opens with a look at Dana tied and gagged, and then goes into flashback mode until 5 minutes from the end, showing us how she got that way. She wears a leopard-skin top and tight reddish leather pants for the scene. |
