She is carted to the scaffold with her hands tied behind her and secured to the tumbrel with a rope around her neck, as the crowd throws refuse at her. She is standing on a stool with the noose around her neck when Quasimodo (Anthony Hopkins) rescues her by fighting his way onto the scaffold and cutting the rope, then carrying her off over his shoulder into the cathedral as Lon Chaney did in the silent original. |

Record number: 14995 Title: Open House (2010) Medium: Movie Actress: Rachel Blanchard Description: A cheap direct to DVD forgettable movie dealing with a brother and sister psycho twins serial killers with a stupid plot premise (they are preying on open houses, set up to live in them for a while and kill whomever they please). The brother, for no apparent reason, falls for Alice, the owner of the house (Rachel Blanchard) and decides to “keep” her. He hides her from her sister in a basement hideout so she won’t kill her. We see Alice tied with her hands behind seemingly with a chain (bindings are not show) and a chain around her ankle secured to a post. She is cleaved gagged and kept in the hideout for seemingly many hours. When sis is out he takes her out for the usual feeding, bathing, bathroom, carrying her chain, psycho babbling scenes of this type of captive-predator formula. There is a failed escape attempt scene ending with a good beating with a belt while unbound. She is seen gagged and tied again watching TV together with Mr. psycho in another scene. She is wearing jeans and blouse. Beware, this DVD cover shows Ana Paquin and Stephen Moyer as if they were major characters. They have no more than 5 minutes screen time. The film was directed by Paquin’s brother. Rip-off! |
