Out of all the bondage scenes I’ve seen, this was one of the tightest: Title: Dragnet (1967) Episode: "Homicide DR 22" (3.14) Original airdate: January 9, 1969 This is the episode where Friday and Gannon investigate the murder of a young blonde woman found OTM gagged, hogtied, and killed in her apartment. The hogtie appeared to be quite tight, accomplished by means of small diameter rope (described as “sash cord”), with the cords connecting her bound ankles to her bound wrists being quite short. Ordinarily in such circumstances, the actress can’t be bound too tightly (lest her blood circulation be constricted) in the event they are required to shoot multiple takes over the course of an hour or more and the bondage must remain applied and unchanging for the sake of realism. Here, the damsel was already dead and not expected to move. Therefore, all they had to do was take several quick shots with the other actors out of the frame. Included were: a close-up of her gloved hands bound behind her back; two quick closeups of her face (with tight OTM); a quick camera pan from her bound ankles to her bound wrists; and a full body shot. Other shots with other actors in the frame seemed to have been accomplished in fairly short order, one and done. In any case, that was a tight one. |

Yeah, it was tight though. BTW, think I read somewhere that the actress in this was Greta Thyssen, in case anyone wants to drop it in the database. |

| Reckon this is always up there - Mika Hijii in 2009 film Ninja. Bound to a chair with a ton of red rope. Beautifully aesthetic and looks completely inescapable. Had a blindfold for part of her scene but no gag at all. A tight cleave or an otm would've made it sublime but it's pretty darn great regardless |

| Always liked Annabella Sciorra's scene in Whispers In The Dark. Very tight proper hogtie. Awesome cleave with stuffing too. She wasn't going anywhere or saying much. Short but very iconic scene. |

She is fully dressed, without a gag. Sam returns and kills the thief. A cop rings at the door asking questions about robberies in the neighborhood. Sam must silence and hide Mrs. Ng At minute 68 a closet doors opens and Mrs Ng rolls wrapped in a bed spread, tied around with ropes. She struggles free of the bed spread and we see that she is cleaved gagged with her wrists tied behind her back with heavy load of rope. Her legs are tied below her knees as well as her ankles. A lengthy scene follows Mrs Ng as she goes bound down the stairs, step by step and inch by inch along a corridor trying to escape. She is regaining her sight and eventually manages to cuts her wrists free with the teeth of a saran wrap box. Although Sam recaptures her, he won’t tie her again." |

I don’t think so, for several reasons: 1) The victim was described as being 25 years of age. Miss Thyssen would have been 42 years of age at the time. 2) At one point, a detective lifts a fingerprint off of a framed photograph of the victim. The woman in the picture is definitely not Miss Thyssen. 3) A couple of minutes later, the victim is untied and the gag removed from her face. The ungagged woman did not look like Miss Thyssen to me. 4) Lastly – and more to the point – if that had been Greta Thyssen lying prone with her hands tied behind her back, her head would have been completely off of the floor. I mean, picture it. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to find out who she is. She is not listed either in the episode credits or the IMDb. And she certainly did an admirable job of holding still. Granted, the hogtie helped, but still… (no pun intended). |

| Last night TCM aired the 1916 version of "Sherlock Holmes." It was originally shown as a chapter serial, and in Part 2 Episode 2 the heroine, Alice Faulkner (played by Marjorie Kay) is abducted by the villains. She's carried in horizontally by two henchman, unconscious and overmouth gagged -- a thick one. She's locked in a closet, where she wakes up and struggles. We see her hands are tied at the forearms, about half a foot apart. She's dressed in bulky, layered clothes of the era. She's ultimately rescued by Sherlock, who says he suspected something interesting was in that closet. A larger version of the "carrying" poster is at the Wikipedia page. |

| Based on William Gillete's play Sherlock Holmes, which had the B&G scene. He assumed the role on stage more than 1,300 times over thirty years, meaning at least 1,300 B&G scenes for actresses playing Alice Faulkner (and many more times since!) |

The two earliest scenes that I could always remember were Ronne Troupe in the "Danger Island" segments of "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour" and Yvonne Craig as Batgirl chained up in Lord Ffogg's dungeon on Batman. But there was always one more scene that haunted me for decades. I had a vague memory of being about five years old and sitting with my family watching a Tarzan movie on TV. I seemed to remember a woman tied very tightly to a tree in the jungle. I recalled that she was forced to sleep like that. Well, for years I searched for that scene(this was pre-internet) and taped every color Tarzan film that came along with no luck. I even taped a 48 Tarzan film marathon on AMC but again nothing. Then about twenty years ago I noticed a film called "Tarzan's Greatest Adventure" airing in the wee hours of the morning on Cinemax of all places. So I set the VCR and finally captured that long lost scene. And man, are those hands tied tight. It looks as if her veins are about to explode. I also love the way she at first struggles then accepts her fate and goes to sleep. Then wakes up in the morning and looks at her bound hands before once again starting to struggle. Sara Shane does some great "hand acting" too, making you believe she's actually spent the night like that. Another candidate for tightest bound awards would be Ellen Bry in the "Lonely Ladies" episode of the short-lived Robert Stack series "Strike Force". Her hands are tied very tightly in front with a thin, almost like clothes line type cord. I used to have caps up on my long defunct DiDTown website. Can't seem to find any online now though. |

If I remember correctly, someone here had posted a picture of that match from SHIMMER 84 but it's been a while. Have you tried searching the database? |
