| I finally caught all of Undercover Masie on TCM yesterday. I had been searching for that scene with Ann Sothern captured by the swindlers for years. The scene itself was all long and medium shots with the person tied blocked by other people and props to the extent that you couldn't even tell if it actually was Ann Sothern, or, just a stunt double. The bondage itself was very basic and her bound wrists were never clearly shown. All in all, very disappointing. Anybody else final find a much anticipated scene and then be very disappointed by it. |

At the climax there is a nice extended HOM done by the female villain. I'd say these scenes are more for a completist since they weren't very appealing and the screaming was unnerving. As a film it was well written so I'd say it's better to watch as a film if you're into realistic crime dramas/horror than wanting to see a damsel in distress film with good bondage. Well, the coded note by the damsel was a bit of a stretch in terms of realism but it was otherwise a good film. |

| Seeing that pic posted by H got me to thinking...I've always thought it was kind of cool and sexy in a weird way when a woman is tied (generally to a chair) and gagged and in obvious peril, but also relaxed (or cocky) enough to sit with her legs crossed in the "casual female' pose. I can't really think of many. I remember a scene on "Wonder Woman", Lynda is tied to a chair & is sitting with her legs crossed as she engages in some witty banter with her captor (until she gets her feet tied). She was not gagged in this one. The only one off the top of my head I can think of where the gal is actually bound & gagged but sitting with her legs casually crossed was Jamie Lynn Bauer back when she was on "Days of our Lives"...she was kept in a sealed room, tied to a chair & gagged for some time by two guys, and every so often they'd show long shots of her and she was often sitting with her legs casually crossed (apparently they didn't want to tie her feet)...I remember thinking it looked odd, as that pose is usually associated with relaxing & calm, and being tied up & threatened with death seemed a bit too stressful to a person to be sitting casually like that! Any others come to mind? |

Her hands aren't really tied (she lets one drop from behind her back when a shot goes off and startles her) but still an excellent scene, for me. |
