Friday April 27 00:50:24 2012 Scandal |
There was a short scene on Scandal tonight where a client is abducted. On-screen gagging with wraparound duct tape. Lots of struggling and mmmphing. Possibly one split-second clear close-up; the rest is a blur. |

Yes , that also works for me , I want to see heroines being through perils and traps and not necessary superheroines so the above examples works for me Thanks :) |

Friday April 27 10:54:59 2012 Cthulhu and Damsels |
Hello, It's been an awful long time since I was here - so much so that I sort of almost forgot about the page. Was never a prolific poster or anything but good to be back. Preamble over I'm a fan of damsels and I'm a fan of Lovecraftian Horror and am trying to track down any and all instances where the twain does in fact meet. Can anyone think of any examples to get me started? |

Friday April 27 12:35:38 2012 Body of Proof---PROOF! |
This is a little late, 'cause I only noticed it just now. The last "Entertainment Weekly" was a double issue with Batdude and Catwoman on the cover dated April 20/27. In the middle of the TV section (page 100) there's "The Chart," a summary of the last week's ratings. Down at #19 is "Body of Proof." And what was the previous week's "Body of Proof" rating? ...50! Run a promo with Dana Delany getting tape-gagged and... AMERICA WILL WATCH!! (Damsel-in-Distress is on the kinky fringe MY ASS!) |

Friday April 27 13:02:26 2012 GH |
Something to keep an eye on next week (April 30 week): General Hospital Spoilers, Danger for Lulu: When Lulu figures out that Ronnie is behind the stripper attacks, she is taken hostage by him, but no before she makes sure Dante is out of the picture. Ronnie sees Lulu as a problem and snaps. All his years of frustration has finally come to a head. He does not want to hurt Lulu but he thinks he has no choice. The situation gets out of control and Sam winds up in middle of danger. Sam is being nosy so he feels he has to take care of her as well. McBain is thrown into the mix and now you have a recipe for high drama!! When the smoke clears, one will be left dead! |

Friday April 27 14:02:45 2012 Vampire Diaries |
Was is a hallucination or did anyone else see a promo a couple of weeks ago for a Vampire Diaries scene this past weeke of blonde, sitting in what appears to be a classroom, tightly cleave gagged with her hands pinned to desk with pencils. Granted, pencils aren't exactly on the top of my list for bondage implements but I was curious to see the scene. I recorded the episode in question but there was nothing but the usual insufferable melodrama to forward thru. Did I mistake the promo for something else? A search turned up nothing. |

I remember watching "The Dunwich Horror" (1970) and being *VERY* disappointed when Sandra Dee was streched out on that stone sacrificial altar in that VERY drool-worthy skimpy outfit and was *NOT* lashed down by Dean Stockwell. (I bet he was disappointed, as well.) How tight are your standards for "Lovecraftian Horror"? I Googled "Lovecraft movies" and found the following site: http://www.hplovecraft.com/popcult/moviestv/based.asp I suggest you cross-reference it with Brian's dBase. I know you'll find some hits (like "Dagon" and "Re-Animator"). |

I watched the episode online at the ABC website. The kidnap victim is a character named "Amanda Tanner". The actress is Liza Weil according to imDb. She had a scene in the past on Law & Order SVU. It looks and sounds like her. |

"From Beyond" especially is a favorite of mine. Some of the effects are pretty cheesy, but it ends the way a "Lovecraft" movie woul, and has two nice little scenes in it. |

A search turned up nothing. I saw that promo too I believe, but if my memory is correct (no sure thing these days) it was one of those annoying promos for both Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle, with no way of telling which scenes are from which show unless a major character is shown. And to make it MORE annoying, the scenes are not necessarily from the shows that week, but can be from any of the season's episodes. But anyway - yes, such a preview was run. |

Yeah, it was a general promo for "Vampire Diaries" and "Secret Circle" showing clips from the next few episodes. I'm guessing the scene will be in next week's episode (Thursday, May 3) since the promo for that specific episode shows the characters running around a school. |

This was the film that got me into the Lovecraftian themes when I was a wee small lad and even then I had a bit of a 'eh - what - how?' when Sandra Dee wasn't tied down. > How tight are your standards for "Lovecraftian > Horror"? I had completely forgotten about From Beyond - thanks. Lair of the White Worm is the best film that contains a scene of a man pulling a mongoose from his sporran to ward off a snake vampire. |

From what I vaguely recall, there was a semi-scene in From Beyond with Barbara Crampton. She was in electro-shock therapy and restrained to a bed. There was also, from what I remember, some kind of electro-shock paper gag. Barely counts, but I like all this talk of Lovecraft and damsels in distress! |

Record number: 8493 Title: Dagon (2001) aka Dagon - La secta del mar aka Dagon: Sect Of The Sea Medium: Movie Actress: Raquel Merono Description: Near the end, the hero's wife gets chained naked and spreadeagled to an altar, preparatory to being sacrificed to Dagon. The high preistess makes some mystic signs on her nicely displayed flesh with a ceremonial knife, then the town's inhabitants, who appear to be mutating into zombie octopuses, grab her and chain her to a bar, which is attached to an overhead chain. They haul on a windlass to raise her into the air, and then chain weights to her feet. She's completely naked throughout, though the shots are carefully composed so no genitals are visble. In an extended sequence she is lowered into the pit where Dagon hangs out. Then her husband tries to rescue her from Dagon It does not end well for this damsel, in short. No gags. |

Friday April 27 21:20:15 2012 Corazon valiente - alert |
A couple scenes so far with kidnapped bodyguard Samantha (Ximena Duque). first scene she unconscious, cleave-gagged with a white cloth, her hands tied with rope behind her back. In her second scene, she is woken with some water dumped on her. Some close ups of her bound hands as she tries to work herself free. The gag is removed so she can talk on the phone and reveal she is alive. Also, Sol (Paloma Marquez) has already been chloroformed by the show's villainess (Aylin Mujica). |

Samantha gets her hands free and tries to fight off her kidnappers, only to be stopped at gunpoint and get her hands tied behind her back again. Then, there's a brief scene where she is again cleave-gagged as one of her kidnappers gropes her a bit. He quickly removes her gag and she removes his ski-mask with her mouth and recognizes her kidnapper. |

A few other scenes. One in which her shirt is ripped open (she isn't gagged in this scene) as she is groped, revealing she is wearing a bikini underneath. Then a couple more scenes where she is cleave-gagged and one of the kidnappers threatens to shoot her. She mmphs and she is ungagged. Then at the end of the episode, her love interest delivering the ransom is taken to see her and she is sitting, cleave-gagged. he quickly removes her gag. She still has her hands tied behind her back as the episode ends, but it doesn't look like she will be gagged again. |

What happened? There was nothing shown that wasn't in the promo. She was led in hooded and cuffed, but her release was not shown. She was just free in the next scene. For handgag fans, the brunette lead CIA head was hand-gagged with a black glove and then killed. |
