At the end of the first hour, Claire Forlani with duct-taped hands to a steering wheel. Villain makes car go boom. I switched channels, presuming her character died in the explosion. Maybe something else happened but I didn't watch.

Once Upon a Time
Someone pointed out that, with Lana Parilla being bound and gagged in the latest episode of this series, all three female leads have been bound and gagged at some point. I can think of three television series in which all the female leads were bound and gagged: She-Spies, Acapulco H.E.A.T., and Partners in Crime. VIP came close, but I don't think that the tall redhead, Molly Culver, was ever bound and gagged. I haven't seen the latest episodes of Totally Spies; has the redhead been bound and gagged yet?
Can anyone think of any other television series featuring multiple female characters in which they all were bound and gagged at some point during the series?

On NCIS all the "operatives" are b&g: Sasha Alexander from 1x18; Cote De Pablo from 8x24 and Jessica Steen from 3x03, but the unoperative Pauley Perrette was only handgagged in one episode from the spinoff NCIS LA

There's a second scene during the second hour. A downloaded video played on a computer screen shows Claire sitting in a chair, wrists duct-taped to the armrests. She repeats her captor's dictated orders before trying to give a message to her friends. No gag in the scene..

All three lead characters , Rachel Petladwala, Bel Powley and Charlene Osuagwu all b&g on MI High.

The old Pam Anderson series V.I.P. almost had that distinction, but Molly Culver escaped the gag, even though she was tied up a couple times. Pam Anderson, Leah Lail, Natalie Raitano, and Angelle Brooks were all B&G at some point

She was great in "Kidnapped Girls Agency." A video I wish I had kept along with the magazine that went with it. You can't keep everything. Well now you can.

No one can take off sunglasses and deliver a line like Caruso. And then he repeats the line. tha'ts acting.

I still have my pristine Betamax copy. Funny thing about KGA was that Michelle was never tied up in that video. She was the PI tracking down the kidnapped star - who happened to be Linnea Quigley. Michelle did get tied up in the sequel "Women In Trouble", as well as in a whole bunch of other things - mainstream and adult.

Bondage in classical art
Here's something quite different I thought I'd bring up. I THINK it's on-topic if I've read the Discussion Page summary correctly, since it's kinda mainstream? Either way. I was looking at some Wikipedia articles on artists & somehow I ended up at the page of a French painter named Paul Jamin. Turns out he's known for quite an interesting painting done in 1893 (see below!), which led me to think: does anyone know of other paintings in a similar style depicting our "hobby", perhaps even by some of the more famous artists?

Mindy Kaling cuffed in front
It's as minor as minor gets, but a promo for the new comedy starring Mindy Kaling, the Indian-American woman from the U.S. version of The Office, shows her cuffed in front after getting arrested and talking with a female police officer. A few good shots of her cuffed hands by her face in the promo. The show's been alternately called "It's Messy" and "The Mindy Project," but it looks like they're sticking with the latter. I'll track down the promo and add to the VP.

Charisma Carpenter's "Angel" Scene
I turned on TNT yesterday morning and saw the old "Angel" "Parting Gifts" episode was just starting. So I watched it in full. It was kind of nice to see the whole episode. It brought back memories of seeing it when it first aired, after all the excitement the preview for it had caused on this page. That was one scene that lived up to the anticipation, in my mind. Cue someone to post that the scene stunk and was overrated.

I wasn't around here to read about the hype at the time (only first saw a clip of it in 2002), but I still very much consider it one of the greatest scenes of all time featuring a well-known actress. Yea, there have been plenty of better scenes in terms of quality & stuff, but I mean like a big-name hottie every DiD-fan wanted to see get the treatment. I can only imagine how cool that would've been at the time, and for such a great payoff when it finally rolled around.

Still one of the most gorgeous cleaves ever on a mainstream show IMHO.

Andromeda was painted in chains by many painters:

Rubens, Ingres, Tamara De Lempicka etc.

Re: Charisma Carpenter's "Angel" Scene
It's kind of funny how your anticipation of a scene sticks in your memory. I remember how excited I was when I found out about Elisha Cuthberts first 24 scene and still consider it one of my favs. On the reverse side, Katheryn Winnick is probably my fav actresses and was excited when I found out she had a scene. I remember that scene for how good it could have been. It's kind of part of the fun of mainstream, that for every disappointment there is a pleasant surprise

Re: Charisma Carpenter's "Angel" Scene
Charisma is simply one of the most beautiful women to grace the modern television screen. Her lips, clear hazel eyes and overall frame are just awesome. That her scene(s) are as good as they are is simply a testament to the lovely woman she is.

I had the privilege of meeting her and telling her how beautiful she is - a difficult compliment to receive - and she was simply humbled and very kind. I have a lot of respect for that lady.

Corazon valiente
One of the bodyguards, Angela (Adriana Fonseca), seems to have her hands tied behind her back on a boat as she is kidnapped by her crazy ex. Nothing too exciting so far, but hopefully will lead to more. Airing right now on Telemundo.

Re: Charisma Carpenter
If you weren't here at the time, after Charisma's bondage was shown in the preview for the next week's episode, the anticipation on this board for the scene was enormous. People here had been waiting a long, long time to see her get a good scene.

Well stated and I agree. Sensationally gorgeous in or out of distress.

Not a painting, but Hiram Powers' sculpture, The Greek Slave, was one of the most important in 19th century US.

Anything on the show finale tonight?

favorite scene
Consider what scene is the best scene you have ever...seen.
It's an interesting exercise and requires some thought. The tastes of Sir brian's page posters varies I am sure, as does the response to this question depending on factors of multiple origins.

I submit a long standing favorite of mine:

Debra Walley in "The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini"

Reasons--
Just plain love red hair.
Great cleavage and hands in front position.
Her make-up and skin are perfect.(A bit heavy on the make-up, in keeping with the times)
Plenty of squirming and mumphing....nice
No realism of harm to the Damsel, although the suggestion of peril is there....In a BABYDOLL SLEEPER...YUM.
She is rescued.
The scene is long and repeats throughout the final moments.
The abduction preceeds the scene--"OMG they might TIE HER UP!!"
And, long prior to the easy access to scenes provided by the internet...= a FIND.

What say you fans?

Not another one of these, didn't we just do this one a couple of weeks ago, or at least a variation on it?

Revenge
Nothing tonight, since the season finale is next week.

Next week, Emily Van Camp shown chloroformed. Promo still shows her tied up, not gagged.

The good news is the bad guy here is Buchanan from "24" who has a rich history of tying and gagging hot females. Debra Messing in "Prey" and Minka Kelly in "Charlie's Angels."

Hoping Emily doesn't escape the gag next week.
