| I think a great while back that I ruled consensual blindfold-only were not appropriate for the DB. That being said, I don't have a problem with developing or revising policy. |

I don't have a problem with either including or excluding the blindfold-only scenes, but its only one of a bunch of things which some people find interesting. From a liberal POV, I've always thought that if somebody took the time to include an entry because they found it erotic enough to get their attention, somebody else probably shares the interest and will agree. From the other side, people getting excited about cartoons and puppets just makes me wonder about people in general. There are entries for blindfolds, handgags, tentacle wraps, cartoons and a myriad of other items of marginal interest. The base issue is really that we've never defined any standards (aside from the initial one which excludes commercial videos). I tend to avoid solutions which dump work on you, but it might be time to develop a set of standards in a written policy which you can put on the Database Add page. The standards can include what is and is not acceptable for an entry. It can also be expanded to refine the definition of "mainstream". When you started the database, u-tube and instagram didn't exist, and deciding what was mainstream and what was commercial bondage was somewhat simpler. |
