| So I just did a new thing with Die Straßen von Berlin (1996), like so: Episode: "Terror" (2.01 or 1.07) and likewise for a couple others. The first x.x pair here is from the IMDb, and the second is what was there before. The twist is that I haven't tried to elaborate on this with an Editor's Note or whatever, in part because I don't know where to credit the original numbering—it's not from epguides or tvtome—and in part because anyone who's trying to look these up by episode number almost certainly won't be informed by their target page as to which scheme is in use anyway. If that's too slack, I'm happy to abide by any other protocol -- an Editor's Note, a numbering source in [square brackets] if it's known, or whatever. As long as the IMDb-friendly x.x pair is somewhere in the Episode: line, my matching code will be happy. P.S. I'm gonna raise an eyebrow at #12539, "Endgame." I can't find any episode by that title or the German translation "Endspiel" with the google, though "Endstation" (2.06 in IMDb) is a possibility. |

In the few cases that I've tried to reconcile numbers entered in the DB I've found multiple contradictory methods of counting the episodes. A quick search on this entry brings up Wikipedia which numbers Terror as episode 8. Sam has more experience with these series so he may have more insight, but I'd suggest that you just use your best judgement and add any kind of note that you believe necessary to clarify. |
