| Here is the video edit I promised last week. Been busy, sorry for the delay. Anyway this is the 1st part of the Melissa Reeves scene from DOOL where she ends up tied up on a bed in a little red teddy. In this part she is tied back to back with her bf. The video quality on this from the Tube is about 2 levels below crap so don't expect HD or anything. |

| I must be the only person around who doesn't care for the Single White Female scene. In fact, despite the "poor" quality of the Melissa Reeves scene I would take that scene over this any day. Cuter damsel, better pose, better outfit. Female could have been sooo much better. Put her in a skirt, with arms bound behind her, and bare legs tied at the ankles and it would have been classic with or without the gag. The haircut was also horrible. |

| Hot off the pre-release Blu-ray, here's what I think is a truly praiseworthy scene marred by terrible keyframes from a shoddy encoding job. Yea, the quality is great, but as far I'm concerned it's all for nothing if the keyframes are all over the place. Hell, there's more Taylor Lautner in this edit than any of the 2 damsels combined! It's all I could work with. The filesize ended up being doubled because of that. The group in question, "HDChina", seem to have a habit of encoding inaccurate keyframes on their releases (Monte Carlo also suffered pretty badly from this). As far as I know, it's something to do with H.264 settings, but I'm unsure of the ins & outs. Some of the more established groups do it far better, so it's always good to wait a few months (in this case, January) for an improved rip. I'll be sure to do a re-post when that gets out. | I really want to transfer my VHS clip collection to DVD or to my PC, but I have to be able to play them with the best quality possible in order to do that. Several of them roll along fine for a while, but then start to have playback issues - distortion of sound and/or picture, drop-outs, stopping altogether (and most of these flaws are accompanied by a squealing sound from the VCR itself). What seems to be happening is that the tape is wound too tightly in the case. Does anyone know a way to solve these problems? Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks. |
