This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

Thursday January 19 02:43:59 2012 Mary Elizabeth Winstead - Wolf Lake |
Hey, just requesting if anyone has a link to this video - preferably in high quality. I posted a thread on Rob's Damsels Forums in Sam's video request thread but apparently the moderators take forever to approve a post. It's the scene from Season 1 of Wolf Lake, episode 4 titled "Tastes Like Chicken". |

This actress doesn't have an entry in the database and this is a pity because she's super hot and got more than one time the full treatment. She was tied, gagged chained during that show. Could someone provide all the episode where she has a scene. I could add an entry despite my not so good English but i need to know the episode numbers where she has a scene, especially the one where she's tied to a stake. (249 maybe?) |

Hi Sam, I was just wondering how you can tell the difference between "transcoded" and "encoded" videos? |

Love the scenes with this actress, she's so hot. Found a vid on youtube that shows her on set at the place where she is tied and gagged. No extra footage unfortunately but just before the 2 minute mark it seems like she's just being told she has to have tape over her mouth, judging by her body language! |

I've looked for that scene in HQ for a few years, but the only result I had was a hugely compressed version which was of no use (I mean even more compressed than Kerhop's old caps). I'll have another sweep around Google but I don't think we're gonna have much luck. |

If not, then there'd be telltale things I'd look out for in the case of an encoded/re-encoded video: overly smudgy video quality, abnormally high pixellation, an unusual encoder in MediaInfo, bad keyframes, Xvid video stream (compressed from MPEG-2 or H.264), MP3 or AAC audio (more compression; the lossless stream would be AC-3)....Things like that. It's a bit harder to tell if something's been transcoded just by looking at the video quality. The easiest way to do is by checking the container: MPG files would've originally been either TS (straight from TV) or VOB (straight from DVD). |

I wasn't sure if there was a specific way to tell from the file itself if it's been altered. I hope you'll indulge me for just one more question and I'll stop pestering you and get to making some clips. :) In VideoRedo, is there a deinterlace mode you recommend for best results? The options are none, auto, bob, weave, and smart. |

Novice wrote: > In VideoRedo, is there a deinterlace mode you recommend > for best results? The options are none, auto, bob, weave, > and smart. I would suggest "auto", because in most cases it will default to "bob" whenever it detects an interlaced source. Whenever you have interlaced video, the "bob" filter (or deinterlace mode) should ALWAYS be used. That includes your media player of choice (VLC, MPC, etc.) You can tell if a "bob" filter is switched on if any still graphics are "bobbing" up & down in between frames. It's hard to explain, but it's basically the same method TVs use to make stuff play at their intended framerate (i.e. live broadcasts of anything are always 50fps/60fps). |

Well it's been a fun ride, guys. :-) I might start using Mediafire or Rapidshare later on, but I'll have to stop posting DiDclips for a bit until things settle down on this whole SOPA/copyright/busted thing. Here's one last clip anyway, on Mediafire for the first time: |

Nothing in the episode 208 but an extended hands-tied-in-front-scene (with no gag) situation. In the episode 209 there are a brief (and a little bit frustrating) scene. |

Thursday January 19 16:49:12 2012 Re: Megaupload DOWN |
Federal prosecutors have shut down one of the world's largest file-sharing sites, Megaupload.com, on charges of violating piracy laws -- a day after a 24-hour blackout of popular websites such as Wikipedia drew national attention to the issue. "This action is among the largest criminal copyright cases ever brought by the United States," the Justice department said in a statement about the indictment. |
Thursday January 19 16:57:04 2012 Re: Megaupload DOWN |
^ Yup. Which means their servers would've been wiped clean, either before they got busted or certainly now. That means every single file I've ever uploaded onto here & Rob's is zapped. Gawn. I guess that's a mighty fine "har har" for the folks who didn't like my choice of filehost, or my trying to promote free DiDclips. ;-) Still trying to figure out which one I should start using next. It needs to be fast like Megaupload & Rapidshare, with at least a 1GB upload limit & no significant waiting times. Suggestions are welcome, as I don't intend on quitting the DiDclipping thing anytime soon. This is just a spanner in the works.....albeit a chode-sized one. |

Try mediafire, no waiting I don't know about the waiting but its fast most of the time. hopefully they will leave it alone. |

You don't even need to save the software, just download it when you need it (No istalling required and it weights less the 250KB). Then it can be used by others to reattach the parts. |

I know, and I've been using HJSplit for nearly 10 years, but that just adds extra hassle for people who just want to play the files. Every other message on here would be "HOW DO I PLAY THE FILE, IT DOESN'T WORK?????!!!!!!" It's the same on a lot of other forums with uploaders who split files, either via HJSplit or WinRAR. Hell, if people still have to ask about what codecs to use, they ain't gonna be able to figure out how to join files either lol. Pretty damn sad day for the internet....... |

OK, so Mediafire's upload limit is 200MB. Luckily this happened to fit the bill, but don't expect everything to to so. Still not sure what I'll do about the bigger files, but I'll figure something out. Btw, the quality of this clip is awesome for an HDTV encode, and it's a nice pair of comedy-type scenes (Tweed's, in particular, reminded me of Jaime Pressly's from My Name Is Earl): http://i.imgur.com/Q2M3z.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RCemN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QYH4K.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hkxi8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/k78rc.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SPMDg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/acAAx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VM0PX.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Vz0PR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qXdnL.jpg Video: H.264 Audio: AC-3 Resolution: 720p Source: HDTV (encoded) |

MadFish wrote: > Seriously though. If they went after Megaupload how long > before they start targeting the rest? I think the glaring problem with Megaupload was that their servers were U.S.-based (that Swizz Beats dork apparently bought them some years ago). The other filehosts are all offshore & far away, so it should be harder for them to get zapped. But, as we've seen, nothing's invincible online. I'm just pissed that I didn't even get half way to finishing my re-uploads on Rob's. *rolleyes* |

I'm sure you'll find another way to upload your fine clips. By no means am I a pro in encoding and uploading, but I have a huge library, and I'd be glad to help with anything. Years ago I had a decent selection of clips on an upload site, but like most, was flagged for inappropriate content and purged. It was very frustrating and made me reluctant to even bother retrying elsewhere. And Megaupload was just starting to become more efficient, what an upset. The streaming upload sites are ok but clearly limited and inconsistent with accepting certain content. What are the possibilities and upload specs of the remaining file sharing sites? jc |

Thanks, I really appreciate that. Glad you've enjoyed them. Right now our options are: RAPIDSHARE Pros: consistently fast for free users; no download limits; no waiting periods; they're the best right now. Cons: need a login to upload; untrustworthy as they often revert back to slow speeds, hourly download limits, long waiting periods & captchas (remember those damn cats in 2008???!!!); apparently they're also strict on content are known to zap stuff in sweeps. FILESERVE Pros: can be somewhat fast depending on the time of day; 1GB upload/download limit for free users. Cons: can also be slow; some waiting periods; captchas; unreliable (I just tried downloading something & it just conked out before it even got started). FILESONIC Pros: absolutely none, they're shit! Cons: Pig slow even for premium users; need a login to upload; some waiting periods; ridiculous 400MB download limit for free users. WUPLOAD Pros: can sometimes be fast, especially for premium users; 10GB upload limit for free users? Cons: usually slow as hell; captchas. NETLOAD Pros: none whatsoever! Cons: the very worst filehost I've ever known; sometimes very fast, usually slower than a retard's brain; hourly download limits; who cares about the rest....... FILEJUNGLE Pros: I have no idea? Cons: very slow from what I've seen; too new to rely on. |
