This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

Mediafire's actually the best and easiest of the bunch, as it's the only (free) file share site with no time delays or captchas. The one negative being it's file size limitations. Not an issue for most of us, but a kind of a big (No pun intended) deal for "Lossless" Sam. |

I have had outstanding service with Seagate external units while a couple of years ago I had a fairly new WD external go bad on me and lost a ton of stuff. BTW, for Christmas I received a WD TV Live, a little box, complete with a remote, that hooks an external USB drive to your TV via HDMI. It allows you to you play clips and movies up to 1080P directly from a drive without having to convert and burn them to a DVD, or run any cords from your computer. Best of all, it'll play darn near everything, supporting virtually all video/audio codecs. Perfect for those of us who download a lot of movies and stuff. Roku makes one as well, but avoid it. It's VERY limted in what it will play, with support for just a small number of codecs. Best gift I've gotten in a long time and about the best $100 you can spend. |

Yea it seems to be very good for the smaller files, but I'm still not sure what I'll do for the 200MB & larger ones............ I might take a gambale and try Rapidshare, but that really is a big gambale considering their track record. For your VOBs I'd say go for it & use Mediafire, since they're probably not huge in size (unless some of them are 10min+ edits like Endure, lol). |

| Thanks as always, Sam. Man, a little better lighting in that scene would have gone a long, long way. I suppose the director/cinematographer should get points for realism, but that would have been a great time for a little creative license. Melissa George and Olivia Wilde chewing on cleave gags? That's deserving of some fill light, isn't it? :D |

Ya know, I've always wanted to see what all these HD edits would look like on a mahoosive 50inch 1080p screen. Since I only have a normal 4:3 SDTV setup in the living room, I'm forever stuck watching everything at close range on this here 17inch LCD screen, lol. Maybe one day. |

Totally off-topic but that would be me all over, lol. Guitar on the brain 24/7. DiDclips are a fun pastime, sure, but it's guitar I can't "live without". Reminds me of that music video which had a band playing in front of 3(?) hot chicks all B&G to chairs, who were forced to listen to their shitty music and Green Day-style guitar slamming (which I can't stand for the life of me, so I really felt for those poor damsels). Those kinda videos/scenes slay me. |

Honestly, I'd be happy with a 480p scene on most if not all scenes. I've actually wound up deleting most after watching since the majority aren't worth keeping in HQ (such as gag and/or cuffs only, scenes that are very dark or brief, a long scene with a closeup only, etc.). Just some honest feedback to Sam et al; if you want to save yourself some trouble (and space) don't knock yourself out with the large file sizes as much as the thought and effort is appreciated. |

And it's good you've come out & said it coz I sometimes wonder how many of my edits actually end up being downloaded and/or kept in other DiD fans' collections, if at all. As I've said before, though: most of these huge files are edited mainly for myself. I do it for kicks. I just happen to share them here & on Rob's for anyone who might also be interested. If people like them & can deal with the large filesizes, great. If not, it doesn't matter coz I love 'em. ;-) |
