I did the RS upload/download with no issues. Try this. Install/Run CCLEANER and see if that helps, or do it manually my clearing your cache and deleting everything in your %temp% folder. If that doesn't help, try shutting down your AV and firewall and seeing if that solves the problem. BTW, what browser do you use primarily? If it's Firefox or Chrome, try deactivating all your add ons. Oh, and if it's IE... switch to Firefox or Chrome, or Opera. Anything is better than IE. Key thing when trying to solve any computer glitch is patience. |

TBH I only tried it with Chrome, my main browser, but the problem does not seem to be software related, unless there's a virus or something that SPECIFICALLY targets Rapid Share downloads! What happens is that they start normally, only they are WAY slower than they were a few days ago and they seem to "freeze" periodically for short periods of time, till they eventually stop altogether... Perhaps it's their servers, or they're trying to convince people to buy subscriptions. It seems like you're just lucky mate, or you have a subscription, LOL. I say that because the problem only seems to be affecting free users. Oh, I should also note that I don't have any problems what so ever downloading from other file hosting sites... |

Definitely not a virus. It's just Rapidshare being pricks bcoz of all the Megaupload & Filesonic users flooding to them. I've read around & mostly every free user seems to suffering from the same slow d/l speeds. That, and it starting & stopping every few seconds. Also, I still haven't managed to get Mediafire to upload anything all week. I tried switching off my firewall, using IE instead of FF, and all the while I couldn't find any "basic version" of the site. As such, I'm holding off uploading any scenes until I can find a solution that works for both me & the rest of you. |
