This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

For future reference, for anyone who gets hit with something, learn how to boot your PC into safe mode, with networking if necessary. There are various fixers that you can get, preferably before you have a problem. A couple that I have found useful have been TDSSKiller and Malwarebytes. |

Friday December 02 02:46:24 2011 Megaupload Files |
When downloading these videos, I usually save them to a folder or to the desktop. I have Windows 7 and Mcafee antivirus and firewall running with all recommended settings for IE9 and Mozilla Firefox. I even manually scan them before opening all the time. For some reason an infection slipped through last night and corrupted my Windows Explorer. Along with that, those files remained undeletable and unmovable from their saved destinations. What also was weird is that my Divx program could not be uninstalled. I had Divx set up primarily for .mkv files. After these files were downloaded/saved, no thumbnails were created for the videos neither. When go to the Megaupload links, I wait the 40 or so seconds to get the Regular Download button to come up. Then I click it choose the save(save as)option. I am not running anything nor am I clicking any ads or pop ups. Those pop ups from Megaupload I just X them out if they come up. I get a lot DID files this way, but now I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong? Appreciate any support I can get. Thanks Guys |

jc wrote: Appreciate any support I can get. Thanks Guys Have you considered the possibility that it might actually be a hardware issue? My hard drive got some bad or corrupted clusters pnce and all sorts of crazy things were happening! For example, some folders got corrupted and every file that was stored in them would crash my PC each time I tried to open it... Sam and the other guys are right, MP3 and video files are among the safest on the net, so if it actually is a virus, then you got it somewhere else but since you say that your problems started after you downloaded these files, you should also consider a hardware problem... Also, try to google your PC's symptoms, that should give you a clearer picture of what's wrong. I am by no means an expert, just thought I'd throw in my two cents... |

I had to go back to a restore point and then run the Malwarebytes program which cleaned up some nasty infections. Good program for free that should find what is infecting your computer. One of the annoyances of surfing the net is dealing with this crap. |

Would it be OK to post MadFish's caps in the ongoing HD flood at Rob's? (below) Full credit would be given in the blue text, of course. |

Thank you SO MUCH its shortly after this scene Record number: 9737 Title: Days Of Our Lives Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Melissa Reeves Description: Captured by a motorcycle gang to force her boyfriend to surrender a tape, she is tied to a chair. No gag, and you really can't see much in the way of ropes. Some good threatening and intimidation by her captors. |
