| A few weeks ago, I had made a comparison between Fullscreen and Widescreen editions of That Darn Cat. I will now do the same with Open Matte versions of movies that were originally filmed with the 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Sometimes, HDTV versions of the movies are in Open Matte, which means that they actually reveal more information on the top and bottom part of the screen. Open Matte movies are very rare and hard to find, especially the ones with bondage scenes. So far, I have found The Abyss and Charlie's Angels. I will make edits sometime when I'm not too busy. In the meantime, here are some caps. Original Abyss clip provided by Danger Theatre, Original Charlie's Angels clip provided by Sam. |
