Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978) Medium: Movie Actress: Diane Steinberg, Sandy Farina Description: Sandy (Farina) is first handgagged by the Twin Peaks giant during Earth, Wind and Fire's performance. Later on it shows Sandy tied to a bed and over the mouth gagged with yellow cloth as Mr. Mustard does a bad version of "When I'm 64". The next scene shows Sandy ungagged on the top of Mustard's bus with long separate ropes to the rail behind her, as she tries to signal the good guys who are following in a hot air balloon (don't ask.) Later, Diane and the hero's greedy cousin/guy are gagged over the mouth with yellow cloth, and led to where the Future Villian Band is. Sandy is then shown tied to an illuminated dollar sign and gagged with the over the mouth yellow cloth again, and struggles, as Steven Tyler does a good version of "Come Together". The moving of a feather boa around Sandy's neck is a great touch to it. Diane and guy are tied back to back below the stage, struggling as well. |

Medium: TV Series Actress: Kate Vernon Description: Episode: "Final Cut" (2.08) About 45' in, Colonel Tigh discovers his wife Ellen lying on the floor of his stateroom, bound hand (behind) and foot and wrapgagged with silver tape. The scene, just before the ad break, is quick. Shortly after the break, around the 50' mark, Tigh is threatened at gunpoint by a soldier distraught over his superior's actions. There are intercuts, including some closeups, of Ellen struggling and vocalizing. Tigh manages to talk the soldier out of fragging him, and as he's led away, the colonel frees his wife. This second part lasts about two minutes. Ms. Vernon's wearing a chemise top and flouncy skirt with heeled sandals. |

Medium: TV Series Actress: Tricia Helfer, Grace Park Description: Episode: "Pegasus" (2.10) An intensely dramatic set of scenes that are graphic in their depiction of the aftermath of physical and sexual brutality. At about 27 minutes in [with commericials], "Dr. Baltar", shadowed by his Cylon muse "Number 6" [Helfer], is shown another Cylon being held prisoner aboard the battlestar "Pegasus". This one we will find is named "Gina" and is a duplicate of "Number 6". She has been thoroughly brutalized physically and sexually by her interrogators on "Pegasus" and has been left laying on her side on the floor of her cell. She wears a metal collar, her hands are cuffed behind her, and one ankle is cuffed and attached to a bolt in the floor by a length of wire. She wears prison garb, a dirty one-piece smock that leaves her legs bare. The scene lasts about 3 minutes A second scene occurs about 15 minutes later, and here Dr. Baltar is removing Gina's shackles from her heavily bruised wrists and ankles. Finally, at about 50 minutes in, "Sharon" [Park] falls into the hands of the interrogators from "Pegasus". They put her on her knees, and her arms are either bound or are very firmly held in front as the villains prepare to use the same methods that were employed on Gina. Fortunately, she is rescued by crewmen of the "Galactica" |
