Record number: 1691 Title: Murder in Mind (1996) aka Deadly Vision, A Medium: Movie Actress: Kristin Davis Description: A serial killer wants to kill a particular police officer. To this end, he kidnaps Kristin, and duct tapes her to a canvas chair. Her hands are taped in front, and a length of tape pins her shoulders to the chair. Her ankles are taped and she's gagged with a strip of tape for good measure. Unusual ending, but I won't spoil it for you. The action begins around the last ten minutes, and goes 'til nearly the end. IMO a top drawer scene, with a well-sealed tape gag. |

| @12:45am BravoC Record number: 1422 Title: Sex Monster, The (1999) Medium: Movie Actress: Joanna Heimbold Description: Farce about a wife (Mariel Hemingway) who at her husband's suggestion, dabbles in bisexuality and soon begins maniacally pursuing female partners. Her final conquest, the wife (Heimbold) of her husband's prospective business partner, dressed in a black lace teddy and garters, pauses during a bedroom session and retrieves some of the husband's designer neckties from a closet, requesting Hemingway's character to tie her up with them. She obliges, and we next see Heimbold with her wrists lashed to the headboard, one of the ties stuffed into her mouth. Although she lies with her legs apart as if she's spreadeagled, only part of the necktie around her left ankle is briefly shown late in the sequence. She spends perhaps the next 10 minutes of the film that way, as first her partner's husband and then her own show up unexpectedly and discover her there. The comic complications of the second event are enhanced by her loud mmphing as her husband comes up the stairs towards the bedroom door. @2:30am Space/Imagination Record number: 5587 Title: Tales From The Crypt Medium: TV Series Actress: Catherine O'Hara Description: Episode: "Let the Punishment Fit the Crime" (6.1) Ms. O'Hara plays a city-slicker lawyer who breaks the law in a conservative small town and gets her just desserts. She winds up being placed in stocks. @9:00pm CITY Record number: 374 Title: Incident at Deception Ridge (1994) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Linda Purl Description: Purl's character -- a kidnapped wife whose husband doesn't want her back -- is first shown blindfolded with a blue bandanna as she talks to her husband on the phone. Later she is shown being pulled feet first from a van; she is blindfolded and tape-gagged, with her hands tied tightly behind her back. The blindfold and tape are removed, and, after she gets back into the van, there is a shot of the ropes being removed from her wrists a few minutes later. The scene occur at the beginning of the movie for approximately 20 minutes. |

Record number: 1953 Title: Pony Soldiers (1952) Medium: Movie Actress: Penny Edwards Description: Emerald Neeley (Ms. Edwards) is captured by Crees, along with a man. I don't know if there's a grabbing scene, but at around the 25' mark (in the AMC airing), she's shown being freed by hero Tyrone Power. She's inside a tent at the camp. The scene is very brief. She's bitgagged, and Power is just cutting her wrist bonds (behind her back) when the cut is made to the tent. She removes the gag, and that's pretty much it. Later, about 70' in, recalcitrant members of the Cree nation grab her again and whisk her off. We see her again bitgagged (appearing to be made of leather, secured by a cord wrapped around the ends) and bound wrists behind. After a long march, they bind her ankles over her flowing skirt, and build a fire to immolate her. Power, a Cree chief, and a Cree boy save the day. |
