Record number: 250 Title: Caracara (1999) aka The Last Witness Medium: Movie Actress: Natasha Henstridge Description: She plays a young woman who allows her apartment to be used as a vantage point by several men who claim to be FBI agents, only to find out that isn't true about 30 minutes in when they grab her from behind as she comes home one night. They hand-gag her and carry her over to a large birdcage on a four-legged metal stand, a corner of which they cuff her hands around before gagging her and binding her ankles with duct tape. She watches in terror, mmphing loudly, as one of the baddies pulls out a pistol and does away with his partners before stepping outside onto a balcony. Struggling fiercely, she manages to knock the birdcage off the stand, blocking the door and giving her time to drag the stand (the legs of which are crossbraced at the bottom so that she can't just slip the cuffs off it) over to where she can grab a cordless phone, into which she mmphs loudly after dialing 911. The sequence lasts about seven minutes. |

The opening scene is in a parking garage, where she gags herself with a packing tape cleave-gag wound several times around her head. She tapes her ankles, and then handcuffs herself in from, before hiding in the trunk of her car. Unfortunately for her, her car is stolen by an unsuspecting thief, who discovers her in the trunk. Not knowing what to do with her, he keeps her handcuffed (but not gagged) for a while. |

The richest man in Atlantis, upset that he's losing business, buys Hades' sevices and sends Pain and Panic to kidnap her. She's captured right before she's going to appear on THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW (he's been in the business a long time), and bound, gagged and blindfolded. Later, she's ungagged, then regagged. |

Actress: Caterina Scorsone, Laura Catalano In the premiere episode of this 2003 Lifetime TV series, a kidnapped woman (Catalano) turns out to be a senator's wife. Throughout the episode, there are brief scenes of her tied (no gag): In a car's backseat (hands tied in front) and chair-tied. Near the end of the episode, series regular Scorsone runs into the dilapidated rooming house to tell her partner that the abductor is located in a different room than how her psychic dream had been interpreted. As she looks at an elevator, Scorsone is hand-gagged from behind by her quarry, with a nice closeup. Her FBI partner comes to the rescue, shooting the villain, and they find the chairtied woman in the room, and untie her. Description: Episode: "They Come as They Go" (1.2) Actress: Mary Wall The FBI team searches for one of its own missing agents, a young well-built redhead in a white top. Early in the episode, she awakens on a bed in dark room, and realizes her hands are tied behind her back and cleave-gagged with duct tape (a rather rare usage; closeup pic). She works to free herself, and she succeeds freeing her hands and ungagging herself. But after crawling thru the ventilation system, she's recaptured by the serial kidnapper/killer. She's then seen with hands tied behind, with a duct tape gag over her mouth in the conventional fashion. When psychic Jess Matriani enters a house where the bad guy is holding her post-tied & gagged, she furiously saws the ropes binding her wrists. Just as Jess realizes the identity killer, the FBI agent succeeds in freeing herself, and comes to the unarmed psychic's aid. The FBI team arrives on the scene to rescue both. Description: Episode: "Insomnia" (1.3) Actress: Michele Ferney Roughly 48mins into the episode, tied wrists in front and gagged with duct tape whilst locked inside a large bakery oven. Nothing shown before. Guy alert. |
