Record number: 13450 Title: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) Medium: Movie Actress: Karen Allen Description: Karen Allen reprises her role as Marion Ravenwood from the 1st movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Obviously, she's 25 years older now, but still very pretty. The scene is deliberately very similar to the first one. Marion & Indy are captured by the bad guys and have their hands tied behind their backs (never shown) and they begin arguing, loudly. The guard finally has enough and when Marion ignores his demands to shut up, he gets a cloth and cleave gags her onscreen. Marion continues to argue as she is being gagged, almost not even paying attention to the guard at all. As we can make out most of what she's saying, it shows how ineffective cleave gags are. The guard may have the same fate in mind for Indy, but doesn't get the chance. Marion is ungagged onscreen in the next scene. Good lighting, close up shot. |

Record number: 642 Title: A Time To Kill (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Sandra Bullock Description: She has been assisting a lawyer defending a race victim and is stopped at night by police who just happen to also be Klansmen. She is bundled into the police car and taken to the woods where a Klan meeting is in progress. We see her wrists bound in front as she is taken from the car and then a close-up of her wrists being tied above her head as she stands facing a tree. Her clothes are torn and she is told that she is going to be left there, naked, to die in the sun the following day if not previously killed by wild animals during the night. Later one of the Klansmen relents and returns to rescue her. He wraps his coat around her and alarms her by producing a knife, but then uses it cut to the rope fastening her to the tree. He carries her, wrists still bound in front, to his truck. Not as good a scene as it sounds (apart from the close-ups of tying her wrists to the tree) as most of the other shots are of her face, and arms still in the sleeves of her dress, while she is being threatened. Not well lit as at night and she looks as if she has been beaten. If Bullock was really naked during the filming any shots showing this were removed. Scene starts after 1 hr 40 minutes (100 minutes) without adverts (UK BBC broadcast) |
