Record number: 17699 Title: Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries Medium: TV Series Actress: Ruby Rees Wemyss Description: Episode: "King Memses' Curse" (1.13) Australian series. Jane (Wemyss), along with everyone else around her at the dinner table, has been rendered unconscious after drinking spiked tea, and is carried off from her home in the arms of a man at 30mins. She is next seen at 40mins sitting on the floor of a hidden lair, still unconscious but stirring; her hands are tied in front with rope, feet also tied, cleave gagged very tightly with a thin white cloth, and blindfolded with a thick green rag. Her rescuer pulls up the blindfold from her eyes, then ungags her. No mmpphhing or emoting at all. At 43mins she is still being untied, but then spots a mummified body across the room. This prompts her rescuer to quickly handgag her before she can scream, after which the scene ends. Lighting is frustratingly very dark (only provided by a lit match), with one brief close-up and a couple of full-body views. Wemys has her hair in adorable pigtails, and wears a long ankle-length blue dress and white shoes. |
