And it was one of those ridiculously thin pieces of black tape that almost made her look like a clown with a painted-on mouth! She did some obligatory mmmphhh-ing though...as I'm thinking "um...just open your mouth wide...it'll pop right off"! |

There she's unbound and ungagged, and seemingly tossed into the flames below, but actually caught by one of the hoaxers. Unfortunately, the scenes are short, with no closeups. Soon after, she hops around in the same predicament. Both scenes are brief. She's dressed in a blouse and hot pants. Happens around the 65' mark (with commercials). |

Record number: 10888 Title: Saw (2004) Medium: Movie Actress: Shawnee Smith, Monica Potter, Makenzie Vega Description: The film contains gory violence and disturbing images. Shawnee Smith is duct taped by the wrists to a chair, and has a giant mechanical gag device padlocked on her head. She has enough time to pull free of her bonds, then has to locate the key to unlock the gag (which also serves as a death trap). Monica Potter is the wife of the hero, and is grabbed as leverage/bait along with her daughter (Vega). Both are cleave gagged with thin strips of cloth (Potter's is black, Vega's is white) and shown struggling with their restraints: Potter's hands are tied behind, Vega's in front. When they are first shown like this, it is a lengthy sequence in which both are screaming and mmpphhing in terror as their captor listens to Vega's heartbeat through a stethoscope. When he leaves them alone in the room, Potter quickly manages to work the gag out of her mouth, then her bonds, but has to re-gag herself and Vega when the villain returns. The sequences are fairly lengthy, including lingering closeups of faces and hands (including blink and miss ones). Smith's scene is at minute 24, while the Potter/Vega scenes are at 39 (just over a minute), 70 (no gags or visible bondage in this one), 80 (five minutes, with several cutaways), and 96 (quick flashback shots only). Additional quick shot: at 38mins (61mins in the director's cut edition), a polaroid is shown of Potter and Vega in a prequel to their situation. | Last minute schedule changes from Lifetime. Girlfriend Killer is postponed until tomorrow night, and they're showing "The Killing Pact" tonight. Discussion page blurb after LMN showing: In the last forty five minutes, Melanie Stone kidnaps Emily Rose's daughter (Belle Warren) to force her to kill her aunt. You first see her in the trunk of Melanie's car. And later she is locked in a cabinet backstage of the theatre bound and cleavegagged. |
