Record number: 703 Title: Alias Smith and Jones Medium: TV Series Actress: Anne Archer, Elizabeth Lane Description: Episode: "Shootout at Diablo Station" (2.11) A gang of thugs bent on revenge takes a whole group of stagecoach passengers hostage, and tie them up at the station. This is a lengthy scene which lasts throughout the episode, with all of them tied up at various points. The good stuff finally happens at 39mins, whereby Archer and Lane are gagged onscreen with bandannas; Archer's is blue, and initially tied OTM, but in subsequent shots has turned into a tight cleave, whilst Lane's is red and tied as a cleave. Unfortunately all the males get the same treatment and for much longer, but we only see the damsels gagged for a total of 13secs. No release shown. Lighting is somewhat dim, and only a close-up is shown of both damsels when they are gagged; however, they are nicely in the same shot when this happens. No mmpphhing from either of them, but their expressions are suitably "distressed" as they look around. They are wearing long, Old West-style dresses. |

Record number: 4033 Title: The Lady Vanishes (1938) Medium: Movie Actress: Catherine Lacey aka Catherine Lacy, unknown Description: At 1hr 16mins, a bad guy enters an ambulance where a woman lies on a gurney with her head almost completely wrapped in bandages. He apologizes for her having an uncomfortable journey, then notices the color of a bit of her hair sticking out, which is brunette instead of gray. He pulls off the bandages to find a young woman's face instead of an old woman's, then puts both of his gloved hands over the woman's mouth. At 1hr 20mins, Lacey is brought into a room on a train carriage, cleave gagged with a thin white cloth and her hands bound in front of her with black cord. She is rather woozy and unable to stand, having most likely been knocked out at some point offscreen. She is ungagged off-camera within about 10secs, with some of her untying being shown in obscured shots (too many people standing around getting in the way) until 1hr 22mins. All in all, no particularly good views of Lacey, who wears a nun's outfit. |

Record number: 14 Title: Jamaica Inn (1939) Medium: Movie Actress: Maureen O'Hara Description: Bound, wrists behind the back, and cleave gagged onscreen with silk handkerchiefs near the end of the movie, starting from 1hr 27mins of the 2015 Blu-ray release. Many, many close-ups (including a great one while she is being gagged) in this long, classic scene. Maureen submits quietly to having her hands tied by the villain, who then ties the thin strip of cloth very tightly between her teeth, all the while explaining why she has to be tied, and how sorry he is to be doing it. He leads her out to his carraige and drives off to a ship, so that they can escape the country. He takes her to a cabin, where he removes the gag, but leaves her hands tied. Her hands stay tied through the climactic fight which ends the movie. |

In the opening prologue, Kylee Dawson (as "Jenny") is chloroformed and dragged into a van. At 0:14, Emily Tennant (who according to her bio, is about 10 years older than her character "Carly"), is chloroformed by the sex traffickers. At 0:20, the lovely blonde is shown in a car trunk, hands zip-tied in front and gagged with duct-tape. At 0:22 she awakens, takes off her gag, and bangs futilely on the trunk lid. Later, she's re-gagged onscreen, taken out of the trunk, and has a black hood put over her head. She's led thru a dark warehouse to a locked room where about a half-dozen other girls are being held. A mid-range shot as she removes her gag. At 1:51, she's hand-gagged after making a phone call. At 1:56, the other captives (other than Carly and Jenny) are rescued, as they are discovered seated in the back of a van with their wrists chained (with much slack) to van's walls. |
