| Another big time personal favorite: Title: The Big Valley Medium: TV Series Actress: Linda Evans, Jeanne Cooper Description: Episode: "Tunnel of Gold" (1.29) The lovely blonde ladies are captured by thieves who are tunneling into a Wells Fargo office full of gold that's ready for shipment. At 32mins, Evans gets a lengthy handgag as she tries to yell for her brother. Both she and Cooper are then dragged down into the basement, Evans remaining handgagged all the way. When next shown, at 34mins, they are sitting down and bound back-to-back to a wooden support beam, hands behind their backs (no visible bonds), rope encircling their upper bodies (above and below breasts), feet tied with rope, and somewhat loosely cleave gagged with blue bandannas (which keep switching between shots to half-cleave/half-OTM). The damsels don't mmpphh very much, and soon stop struggling. Eventually they pass out, due to the bad guys' tunneling having caused gas to fill the basement where they are bound. Very much the damsels in peril, they will die from asyphyxia unless they are rescued. They remain like this until they are discovered by the resident good guys at 46mins. Their untying is not shown, but Evans is ungagged onscreen (in this shot both gags are now OTMs). The scene is lengthy, with both damsels receiving altogether about 3mins of screen time bound and gagged. Close-ups and full-body views aplenty. Evans wears a long red dress and black boots. Cooper wears a grey blouse, long grey skirt and black boots. |

Record number: 606 Title: The A-Team Medium: TV Series Actress: Tia Carrere Description: Episode: "The Sound of Thunder" (4.23) The team is on a mission in Vietnam to capture Tia so that her American father can meet her. Upon confronting her, she tries to evade capture but ends up unceremoniously dumped into a basket. We next see her sitting on a chair; her hands are tied in front with rope, feet to chair legs, and she is very tightly cleave gagged with a thin bandanna. In her struggles, she knocks the chair over backwards but continues to be defiant. They then ungag her onscreen to demand the information they want, but just when she appears to be on the verge of compliance, the Viet Cong arrives outside and all hell breaks loose. While the militants are busy, the team take Tia along with them (hands still tied in front and now re-gagged) and hide out in the bushes. She mmpphhs once with annoyance when they tell her their plan, but eventually goes along with it. Several great close-ups of her gagged face. Notably, she wears a rather fetching khaki outfit: a knotted-up T-shirt, very skimpy shorts (obviously and incredible display of legs), and black flats. In one distant shot when she is lying on her stomach and watching the Viet Cong commotion, the director decides to give us a gratuitous view of her near-bare butt cheeks; the shorts are THAT skimpy! Occurs at 29-34mins of the Blu-ray release. |

Record number: 6241 Title: Joy Ride (2001) aka Roadkill Medium: Movie Actress: Leelee Sobieski, Jessica Bowman Description: Venna Wilcox (Sobieski) is captured by the killer and used as bait. Venna is handgagged in a dark corn field at about 1:12 into the movie. She is held captive in a hotel room, tied onscreen to a chair, arms behind, with several turns of clear pallet (plastic) wrap and gagged with clear tape that is wrapped around her head several times. This happens at about 1:16 in. There is a shotgun at the door, rigged to go off if anyone opens it. The scene is switched back and forth to several times. Numerous close-ups and wondeful mmmppphing by Leelee make this scene a must-see, even for those who despise clear tapegags! Towards the end of the film (around 1:30), there's a brief scene where "Charlotte" (Jessica Bowman) is seen (in the cab of a truck) wearing a very tight dark-colored bandana cleave gag. Shot is from the head up with no ropes or restraints visible. Scene is approx 4 minutes long when you cut out the side scenes. Lots and lots (and lots) of clear tape used. Not a short scene. On the "Special Edition" dvd, there is a long alternate ending where Ms. Bowman is found suspended inside of a railroad car. Unfortunately it is shot from about fifteen feet away and only "lit" by police flashlights. Her hands are chained together in front of her and there are chains wrapped around her arms and body. Can't tell if she's gagged or not. Either way, she starts screaming and kicking when a policeman touches her. Later, Ms. Sobieski is abducted, then discovered inside the trucker's trailer with her hands strapped slightly above head level to slats of a crate she's standing against. No gag. Record number: 6955 Title: High Crimes (2002) Medium: Movie Actress: Amanda Peet, Ashley Judd, unknowns Description: Around the 40' mark, there's a brief shot of Amanda Peet tapegagged during a home invasion. Scene lasts only a few seconds. I couldn't tell how she was tied (the intruder may have been disturbed before he had time to secure her). Around the 43' mark, a black-and-white video is being shown of a number of bodies lying on the ground, presumably dead. One of them was of an unknown woman with her hands behind her back, lying face up, so you can't see the bindings. Around the 75' mark, there's a brief shot of a young woman kneeling on the ground with her hands behind her back. No view of bindings. Shot is 2 seconds long. Around the 103' mark, the real killer (I won't give away the twist) grabs Ashley Judd, firmly clamps his hand over her mouth, and drags her into the house. He then ties her arms behind her back and hogties her. The hogtie is not tight (her knees not bent much), more incidental as the same length of (telephone?) cord used to tie her wrists behind is also used for her ankles. She is able to roll off the couch where she was tied and across the floor towards a gun that was dropped during the final fight. She manages to work her hands free just in time to get the gun and save herself. The scene is dark and the cuts are quick. She's wearing a bathrobe and white socks. |
