Record number: 7494 Title: Kim Possible Medium: TV Series Actress: Animated (voiced by Christy Romano) Description: Episode: "Bueno Nacho" (1.6) About 17' in, Kim finds herself in the clutches of archvillain and grade A schmoe Dr. Drakken, and his beautiful and deadly associate Shego. She's clamped to the side of some machine (diabolically designed, no doubt), fettered arms above and ankles below. Rufus rescues her and Ron, who's made a mess of his hero turn and finds himself in the same predicament. Much screen time, with the sequence lasting for about eight minutes with a lengthy DISNEY promo break. |

Jupiter's Darling |
Day: Sunday April 03 2005 |
Time: 3:00 A.M. EST |
Channel: TCM |
Saturday night/Sunday morning.
This is according to TCM's website. Not sure if their time is adjusted for the switch to Daylight Savings Time. I think not since they list the movie at 96 minutes and the next film is listed at 6 AM. Record number: 1769 Title: Jupiter's Darling (1955) Medium: Movie Actress: Esther Williams, Marge Champion Description: The plots of Esther Williams' movies defy description, but here goes: Hannibal captures the lovely Amytis (Williams) outside the gates of Rome and stops the battle to romance her, or something like that. First Hannibal (Howard Keel) captures the red-haired Amytis binding her wrists behind her back and silencing her with a two piece gag, and escapes from attacking Roman soldiers with the mewing Williams seated in the back of his chariot. Later Amytis and her blonde slave girl (Williams) are chained in a tent, the latter sitting disconcertedly on a pillar. In another scene, Amytis is dragged into Hannibal's tent with her arms bound behind her back in order to beg for her life. The script (fashioned by Dorothy Kingsley) includes these two priceless lines: "Chain me up again!" and "I'll deliver you to your lover and throw you at his feet, bound and gagged. |

POLICE STORY 2 (1988) |
Day: Sunday April 03 2005 |
Time: 2AM E/P (Monday morning) |
Channel: FX |
|
Record number: 922 Title: Ging chaat goo si juk jaap (1988) aka Police Story 2 aka Kowloon Eyes Medium: Movie Actress: Maggie Cheung Description: This is a Hong Kong martial arts film staring Jackie Chan, sequel to the first POLICE STORY. Kidnappers grab Maggie around the 80' mark (with commercials). She is bound (hands behind her back) and gagged with light brown packing tape, sitting on a long chair without armrests. The villain removes the tape gag, then they torture her by throwing firecrackers at her (still bound), to force Jackie to carry a bomb to the police station. Lots of struggling. She is wearing a brown sweater and white skirt. Guy alert. About 100' in, she is again tied to a wooden chair (hands behind her back) and tapegagged in a large warehouse. Jackie sees her from a window and breaks into the room to rescue her. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the letterboxed version, you get to see the entire scene, in the far more common pan & scan cut, you only briefly see her b/g on screen, as she is being held in the corner of the room and is cropped out of the picture for most of the scene. (Editor's note: Not having seen the letterboxed version, I'm not sure if the author of the note is referring to the first, second, or both scenes.) |
