There are several nice shots of the baddies wrapping gauze over her mouth and lower face. After avoiding the fate planned for her owing to the intrepid efforts of young Holmes and Watson, she then falls into the hands of another antagonist, who binds her wrists in front and stuffs a cloth in her mouth. The boys should get overtime. |

No bondage involved; a blanket or jacket is pulled over her head, and we next see her being carried from her home unconscious to a van. Around 42' in, she's seen bound hand (behind) and foot, and gagged with shiny brown packing tape, seated on the floor of his hideout. Several shots of her. About 51' in, there's a very brief and dark shot of her in the back of the van, bound and gagged as before and now blindfolded. Finally, a couple of minutes or so thereafter, she's discovered physically unharmed in a church by a clergyman, restrained as in the previous scene. The above's derived from the A&E airing. The PBS version that I saw originally includes a quick shot of her being carried and loaded into the van, bound, gagged and blindfolded, at some point between the 42' and 51' scenes. |
