Actually, I've since reclipped this one at higher resolution, and with the more modern compression...link below. In reference to the origin question, this is a short film (no more than ten minutes unedited), one of several that was funded as part of a special series that TNT (I think) ran interspersed with their regular programming. |

Unfortunately I haven't seen this one ever again:
Record number: 3219 Title: Santa Barbara Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Marcy Walker Description: Episode: "123" to "125" Eden Capwell (Marcy Walker) is kidnapped by Peter, the former boyfriend of her sister Kelly, who has become mad and is killing woman as the "White Carnation killer". He blindfolds and gags Eden (thinking he had kidnapped Kelly), then ties her up. Peter brings her out in the woods where she falls down a steep slope and lies there without moving. Later she unties herself and can escape. |

Despite the interference of a putz mine would be an episode of Barnaby Jones called Man On Fire. The actress was Kristine De Bell |

I've never been able to find a clip of this scene anywhere:
Record number: 3624 Title: Profiler Medium: TV Series Actress: Sherri Howard Description: Episode: "Film at Eleven" (1.16) Near the end, Ashley Bernarding (Howard) is tied in a weird way to a table so that if she gets tired she'll be hanged. Her wrists are bound to chair arms. There is also a tennis ball in her mouth with clear tape over her mouth. She's dressed in jogging gear. |

Nana Visitor in an obscure 80s detective show whose title I can't even recall - starred Michael Nouri as the lead though
Miss Visitor (a blonde back then and not the Deep Space Nine redhead) is sitting on the floor, dressed in a short yellow skirt, tied and cleave gagged with strips of fabric |

I am a great fan of the subject and the site. As to that film, you have some "scene creep" - there were a lot of girls but not as many as you remember, and yes it was a great and long scene. I was involved in that scene. [Yes, I know, everyone is now thinking that the BULLS have HIT] Back then I was just starting in film and still lived in Africa. My interests then were: 1) bondage, 2) film. I got to work on that film - most of which was made on location in various parts of East Africa. Your are in fact correct on a number of issues: 1) the girls in the scene were extras, hired by the day 2) many of them wanted to be in movies and hoped to be discovered 3) they were all tied the same - I did it 4) and yes - they guy was WAY overpaid Actually, when we let it be know that we needed extras we expected to get four or five and that is really all we needed. But the director did not want to create an incident and decided that more would look good and the cost was insignificant. Turns out that most of them wanted to be in movies and would have worked for nothing or maybe even paid us. They were all tied the same because the first tie attempt was a misareable failure: I did not do that tie and it was after that that I offered to do it, for the good of the movie you understand. The first attempt at restraining them just had loops of rope that they wrapped themselves into. Fortunately it looked like that and some of them even fell off. The second, also not me, had almost everyone tying. There were a few problems with that: 1) it looked very silly to see them all tied differently, 2) most of the tiers had no idea what they were doing and some of the ropes looked that way, 3) some of the ties were so bad they came off, 4) in the breaks many of the girls slipped out of the ropes, 5) many of the girls stepped through their bound hands to bring them in front. 4) and 5) were a big waste of time after the break. So, for the good of the movie, I did it. The aim was: 1) the ropes to look tight 2) the ropes not to fall off by accident 3) the girls not be able to get free till released to we did not need to stop for re-tying 4) the girls not be able to step through their biund hands so we did not have to wait for re-positioning. I loved the job. I loved the movied and wonder when we will be able to get it on DVD |
