| My dvd copy of TAU turned up in the post today. Not an Xmas movie per se of course but it'll certainly improve my Xmas Eve viewing ;). Absolutely the scene(s)of the year imho. Haven't seen the entire film yet either so it's my very own Xmas present to myself lol |

| First time I ever saw Maika Monroe on screen she got chloroformed within seconds. And her career has been rather wonderful ever since :). She has two upcoming films next year. Stockholm, wherein she plays a hostage whose captor falls in love with her(as you would). And Villains in which she plays an amateur burglar who picks the wrong house to burgle. Both have very high potential for further excellent full treatment scenes for the lovely Maika. The new Teri Hatcher perhaps? We certainly hope so! |

Title: The Vector File (2002) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Catherine Oxenberg, India Oxenberg Description: One of those rare scenes where a real-life mother and daughter share a scene. Margaret (Catherine) and her daughter Mattie (India) are lounging about outside their house, when Catherine steps inside to fetch something from her handbag, only to be accosted by a gunman who roughly pushes her face-down onto a bed. He sets about binding her hands behind her back and feet together with black zipties, all while she struggles and squirms against his grasp. A shocked Mattie discovers the commotion, and is then told by Margaret to make a break for it. After giving the gunman the runaround through their house, Mattie grabs a knife from the kitchen and returns to the room where Margaret is still struggling against her bonds. Mattie cuts her loose, but they are both quickly apprehended at gunpoint in the living room. They are next shown bound back-to-back in wicker chairs, using two elastic belts strapped across their waists and arms (which does not look very secure), feet bound with black zipties, and each gagged with a strip of brown packing tape. Both damsels struggle and mmpphh in terror as a fistfight ensues between the bad guys and their rescuer. He emerges victorious, with the scene ending with him ungagging and untying them. The entire scene lasts just over 2mins and is very well-lit, with a great mix of close-ups and full-body views. We are treated to some utterly adorable shots of both mother and daughter as they look on helplessly from their chairs. They are also dressed similarly, wearing white T-shirts with blue floral print, Margaret with pale blue pants and Mattie with tan-coloured cargo pants. Margaret is barefoot in all sequences, while Mattie wears blue sneakers at first and is then barefoot when captured. |
