Title: The Avengers (1961) Episode: "The Bird Who Knew Too Much" (5.5) Mrs. Emma Peel (Diana Rigg) is ambushed by two men who chloroform her into unconsciousness. They need to eliminate her, but need also an alibi. What are they to do? Well, what would any self-respecting baddie(s) do in such a situation? Put the beautiful damsel into a deadly trap, of course. While the first villain ties up Mrs. Peel and lashes her securely to a chair, the one who lost the coin flip runs a string from the doorknob to the trigger of a cocked pistol pointed towards her head. That way, whoever opens the door kills her, leaving them in the clear. Meanwhile, the first villain completes the bondage by knotting a huge purplish-blue cloth OTM gag onto Emma onscreen. Then, they leave (presumably through another door). When Mrs. Peel regains consciousness and realizes her situation, she struggles and mmphs furiously. But the bondage is too secure, and the chair is too wide to tip over. Suddenly, she hears someone approaching. It looks like the end… … except that the person approaching is her partner, John Steed, who has recently (and conveniently) taken to entering unknown rooms through the window. He renders the booby trap harmless, then does the onscreen ungagging honors, saying, “I’ve pulled a few strings in my time, but that one...” “… would have had explosive repercussions,” concludes the now-ungagged Emma. Typical British cool. Admittedly, there wasn’t a whole lot to the scene; but what makes it HOT, HOT, HOT is Diana Rigg as Emma Peel. |

| Usually when a damsel is arrested the cops are just gonna handcuff her hands behind her back. But are there any scenes where the damsel is arrested and is aslo gagged by the cops? |

The classic, yellow hardback series books with scenes are: The Mystery at Lilac Inn (possibly the best in the classic series, especially the original 1930s version which is completely different from the modern version and illustrated to boot!) Record number: 15709 Title: Charlie's Angels (2011) Medium: TV Series Actress: Minka Kelly; Annie Ilonzeh; Rachael Taylor Description: Episode: "Angels in Chains" (1.04) The girls travel to Cuba to break up a white slavery ring and rescue a kidnapped client. Arriving in Cuba, they are quickly framed and arrested. They are then taken to prisoner in a scene meant to pay homage to the original series. Wearing denim work clothes, they are handcuffed together by their wrists and very long chains. At :35 into the episode (broadcast version, including commercials) the girls are dressed up in party clothes, and taken to a villa where they are meant to entertain the guests. A busted rescue attempt frees all of the girls with the exception of Minka, who volunteers herself as a hostage to get the others out. Minka is taken back to the prison, and put into a cell with her hands tied behind her back and a black cloth cleave gagging her. The gag is pulled down for an interrogation which takes place off camera. Finally, at :48 a prisoner exchange is performed, with Minka, again with hands tied and black cleave, exchanged for a CIA agent (played by Erica Durance). |

It happened to Lisa Maris on 18 Wheels of Justice "Caged". Maris is handcuffed while being interrogated by two agents (one male, one female). The male agent takes out a roll of duct tape and proceeds to use it on the sassy mouth of Lisa Maris. A pretty solid and underrated scene all in all. |

It’s based on the fact that a law enforcement officer is technically on duty 24/7, on shift or not, in uniform or not. Title: Pacific Blue Episode: "Cranked Up" (2.10) Our favorite bike cops are off duty, in civilian dress, and headed for the mountains to participate in a cross-country bicycle race. Unfortunately, during the race, they encounter a gang of white trash types who are engaged in the production of crystal methamphetamine (an activity colloquially known as “cooking crank”, hence the episode title). One member of the gang is a girl named Mary Lou (Maddie Corman), who is a bratty, obnoxious, and fouled-mouthed teen who proudly boasts that she’s been cooking crank since she was fifteen - and it shows. She appears to be brain-fried from years of inhaling residual fumes. In the end, of course, our heroes prevail. The gang members, Mary Lou included, are tied up in rope, hands to front, and brought to the race finish line. Mary Lou sports a red bandana cleave. Evidently, the potty-mouthed chatterbox just wouldn’t shut up, so they dealt with the problem in the only practical way available to them. So, there you have it. The female suspect was arrested by cops and also gagged. |
