Thursday November 07 13:14:37 2013 Bondage As A Theme |
I was looking at my collection of scenes and was thinking I didn't really bother to watch the scenes, I only used them to illustrate a point. It's the entire movies that have a bondage theme in them that I actually watch, and generally only the better of those. For example, "Midnight Run" (not to be confused with the awful Charles Grodin/Robert DeNiro "Midnight Run for Your Life") about a woman who's on the run from a gangster and is literally kidnapped by a bounty hunter (she's suspected of being involved in the gangster's crimes). It's a funny movie, there's adventure, there's a romance, and a nice sexual bondage subtext with her being cuffed and gagged for part of the film. Or there's the excellent "The Gigolo" in "Women: Stories of Passion," which is not really about a gigolo but about a woman who is a submissive into bondage, who learns to love vanilla sex and not bondage thanks to her gigolo. (Yes, idiot message, alrighty, but at least she's portrayed as an interesting and fun person.) There were also several eps of CSI in which William Patterson had a relationship of some sort with the madam of a kinky brothel, and although it never went anywhere, there was definitely something going on between the two of them. I'm going to want to exclude serial killers from the list, mainly because the only function they serve in the TV shows and movies in which they appear is to be convenient monsters to move the creaky plot along. So, what say you? What movies/TV shows have a bondage theme, not just bondage scenes? |

Oh, you speak my language! I loved that scene in The Gigolo where she surprises him with that slave harness / lingerie and ballgag -- and winds up having to take a call while wearing it! Her gag-talk earlier is fun too. One problem, though: as they slowly released the series in fits and spurts, I never spotted that episode anywhere. Do you actually have it? Is it available for purchase on DVD? |
