After being kidnapped in her apartment in a very good scene, she was left tied to a chair in the classic generic vacant warehouse. She got out of the ropes and tried to escape by crawling through an air duct, but either ended up back in the same room or in the only other room the vent went to - can't remember for sure. Anyway, her captor was right there waiting for her. Her hopeless resignation as she turned around and put her arms behind her back really gave me a rush. She ended up B&G in the trunk of a car which eventually was hanging half off of the side of a bridge. Saved in the proverbial nick. Great overall sequence. |

Title: Whiz Kids Medium: TV Series Actress: Andrea Elson Description: Episode: "May I Take Your Order Please?" (1.18) Alice (Elson) overhears the plans for a robbery (including a plan to kill the hacker the crooks are working with.) She's kidnapped, tied to a chair in the crooks cellar and tape gagged. She manages to rock the chair over. The noise brings the Hacker downstairs and he frees her. They both escape but the hacker runs out and is hit by a car. In the confusion Alice is grabbed from behind by the crooks, handgagged and pulled into a concealing bush. We next see her bound and gagged to the chair again. Not really a full escape but there is also Record number: 739 Title: Caravan to Vaccares (1974) Medium: Movie Actress: Charlotte Rampling Charlotte's character is tied up along with a kidnapped scientist. She is OTM gagged with cloth. She wiggled over and the scientist managed to free her but the way out is blocked by the badguys. She makes it to a phone and quietly calls the hero's hotel to leave a message. Shortly afterwards the villains discover she is free. (May be scene creep but I thought when I first saw it one of the bad guys re-gagged her on screen and the scene cut as he retied the gag but that was missing the last time I saw it on TV.) She is rebound hands in front then tied directly to her ankles in a kind of front hogtie, obviously to make it harder for her to free herself again. The OTM gag also appears tighter. |

She does get chloro'ed and duct tape gagged while being kidnapped, but then is shown stashed in a muddy basement wearing a tight black cleave gag. She's rolling around on the mud trying to reach her cell phone as the episode ended today. Between this and Las Casa de al Lado we may all have to learn how to speak Spanish. |
