Mikey is stunning and the film itself is best of the year. I watched Anora and second this, but would like to add on here. Though the scene is too short (which works in the narrative) we get amazing close-up shots, and when the gag is removed we see saliva on the cleave knot! There's also constant references in the dialogue before and after this scene (throughout the movie) to being tied up and gagged - to paraphrase, many lines like "Don't tie me up" and "You tied me up and gagged me". Without spoiling much, there's also a scene where Anora is offered a scarf to wear, which was the same scarf used to gag her, and she replies along the lines of "So you can gag me with it again?" |
