| Acorn just had a free preview week on my cable service, so I watched all four episodes of the first season. Nothing of interest for you lot, not even a hand gag, and that includes series regulars *and* guest stars. On a brighter note, the producers obviously put a lot of effort into the set dressing, music, costumes (ESPECIALLY the costumes), vintage cars, period details, etc. The cast is good, and the screenwriters good. I found all four episodes quite entertaining. The whole thing had a very Emma-Peel-in-The-Avengers vibe going. |

| I'll try to look around for the exact date but this is surely covered in the database. If you look around online, almost every episode of the soap is available so you'll eventually find it. |

| X-shaped tapegags are my absolute favorite. Probably influenced by John Willie's photos in my youth. They look aesthetically beautiful. Getting rarer in commercial output sadly and very few mainstream examples but The Devil's Candy couple of years back has the best modern film scene. Blue-eyed doll Kiara Glasco gets a fine example of an x-gag as she ingeniously frees herself. Wish more filmmakers would employ them they look way better than wraparounds imho and they seal the lips beautifully |

Here is my favorite example: Title: Josie and the Pussycats Episode: "Chili Today and Hot Tamale" (1.7) Damsel: Animated (voiced by Jackie Joseph) The Pussycats are headed to a gig in sunny Mexico, where they will soon encounter The Scorpion, this week’s costumed villain bent on world domination. At the border, one of The Scorpion’s agents dumps a number of radioactive pellets into the bass drum of Melody Valentine (Jackie Joseph), the band’s ditzy blonde drummer, as a means of smuggling them into Mexico. After the first commercial break, Melody is grabbed, handgagged, and spirited away (along with her drum) by two of the Scorpion’s costumed minions in their Scorpion Car. Almost immediately, Melody starts back-seat driving (well, they are driving recklessly in their efforts to get away). Finally, the minion in the back seat does the only thing he can do. He hand-slaps an “X” of white adhesive tape over Melody’s sweet, plump lips (sadly, the tape does not stay on very long, nor is she bound). |

| Has anyone here checked out the movie ‘Cam’ on Netflix? There is a hell of a gag scene at the 27-28 minute mark. I had not seen any chatter about it on here which was a bit surprising. It’s definately one for stuff gag fans. I just can’t work out what she has in her mouth |

She & her mother get captured in the beginning of the film & she gets a minor bondage scene though she is saved by the female freedom fighters & decides to fight with them to save her brother. |
