| Tuesday July 22 06:45:10 2025 Upcoming Lifetime Movies: August 2025 |
| This past month when the slate of upcoming Lifetime Movies came out, I had a hunch on two movies with strong premises for potential scenes (My Sister's Double Life and Kidnapped in a Small Town) that both ultimately paid off (albeit, with rather mediocre scenes). The latest batch of Lifetime movies premiering in August was just announced and there are once again two movies with very strong premises that I have a feeling should deliver something. The first is "Sins of the Father", premiering on Lifetime Sunday, August 3rd at 8PM EST. The synopsis reads as follows: "When a desperate kidnapper invades her church as she's cleaning up alone after service, organist Mary must rely on her wits and her faith to save herself - and the young woman he's taken captive. Kirsten Comerford and Kiera Laidman star" I imagine Kiera Laidman is the kidnapped young woman in this one so good chance of something for her but also a good possibility for Kirsten Comerford as well. The other strong premise this month is "Do Exactly as I Say" premiering on Lifetime Sunday, August 24th at 8PM EST. The synopsis reads as follows: "Helen works as a private chef for a tech billionaire. When her daughter is kidnapped and held hostage by a mysterious figure, Helen must decide if she's willing to murder to get her daughter back. Erin Karpluk, and Philip Prajoux star". Not sure who will play the kidnapped daughter since this one isn't up yet on imdb but this one sounds like it'll have a good chance to deliver given that it sounds like the daughter will be kidnapped for much of the film. Haven't seen any behind the scenes stuff or trailers/promos for either of these so be on the lookout. Lifetime still has their Friday slate left to announce so always the possibility of more. |
