Sunday April 13 00:46:19 2014 Phone Company Commercial |
Does anyone remember a telephone company commercial from the late 60's or early 70's that would now be considered extremely politically incorrect where a husband keeps his wife bound and gagged until evening and weekend rates kick in? As I recall, she was OTM gagged with a white handkerchief and when he unties her, she runs out of the room toward the room with the phone and doesn't remove her gag until she gets there. The room with the phone. The rotary-dial phone. :) |

No, but I remember the Prudential commercial from 1979- 80 where a gut come home to find his house robbed and his wife B&G. He spends the whole time going over the benefits of the insurance without releasing her. She's still B&G during the tag where he asks "Why didn't you call?" You were pretty much assured of seeing it every Saturday in the fall when "The Prudential College Scoreboard" was shown after football games |

Sunday April 13 18:59:37 2014 Real Housewives of Orange County |
The season premiere of the Real Housewives of Orange County is Monday at 9 p.m. on Bravo. This episode will feature behind the scenes action from Heather Dubrow's tape-gag scene in Hawaii Five-O. Episode is titled "Hawaii Five Uh-Oh" which is likely a play off Heather being bound and gagged. |

Which reminds me of an old TV ad from the 60s/70S by Toni, the home-permanent concoction (does anyone still do that stuff?) The point of the ad was how *easy* Toni was to use: and to illustrate, it showed a girl giving herself a Toni wearing a pair of handcuffs -- in front, of course, since even a Toni would be impossible with her hands behind her back, although interesting to see her try... |
