| Do you ever get frustrated when reading movie reviews that the reviewers don't address that ONE SPECIFIC DETAIL that you're wondering about? Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, Lost River, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last week. The script leaked online last year, when it was still called How To Catch A Monster, and it featured a scene where Eva Mendes was tied to a wheel and gagged in a fetish club, and a scene where Christina Hendricks, "wearing handcuffs and a racy prison jump suit", was tormented by other women in a burlesque show in the same club. So I'm reading these reviews now that the movie has premiered, and they're all talking about the story, the filming, the performances, and so on, and nobody is addressing the main area I'm interested in: DID A SCENE WHERE CHRISTINA HENDRICKS GETS TIED UP IN A SEXY OUTFIT MAKE IT INTO THIS MOVIE OR NOT??? These reporters have their priorities all wrong. Now I have to wait until this movie gets released properly to find out. We ought to send a Brian's Page film reviewer to Cannes next year, so we can get some information on the issues that MATTER. |

Movies are rated for sex, violence ans sometimes cruelty to animals and even smoking. A bondage rating (at least a yes/no) would be nice. Too specialized, I guess. Sigh... |
