You can't think of one scene that was worth the trouble in the last year? Then your standards are impossibly high. This past year was the most prolific TV DiD season ever, even moreso if we look at a full calendar year and include the scenes from last summer (Rookie Blue s04e01, Crossing Lines s01e01, & The Bridge).

I think it probably depended on whether or not shows and/or actresses you were hoping would deliver came through. And whether or not scenes that happened were the sort that you enjoy. There may have been a lot of scenes; I don't really keep track or care about quantity. But there were very few that appealed to me. Many scenes were dark and/or bloody, so far as I can remember. I don't recall a single one that I'll want to go back and watch a few years from now. The one on "Scandal" could have been a "Vegas"-level classic, but they made it a torture scene and that killed it for me. Just my $0.02.

I thought the TV season was solid, especially finally getting a gag on Amanda Righetti and a new gag scene finally for Mariska on Law & Order. Although I don't care for her, many were also happy with a new AJ Cook scene. Seeing the female leads in gags is always a plus.

Now, hopefully something next season for Sarah Shahi and Piper Perabo.

TV SEASON JUST ENDED
Actually after further thought two scenes did interest me from last year. Elisabeth Rohm's scene from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and Marta ? scene from the show that starred Tricia Helfer. I look for three things from a scene. As a gag snob and an otm, cloth or tape, snob at that anything else doesn't count for me. The other two things I look for are length and quality of shots. The Rohm scene had a lot of good closeups but didn't last long enough for me. Anything else is a bonus.
I think that for a lot of people the fact that one of their favorites got a scene is enough to raise a mundane scene to something much better than it really is to someone who doesn't feel the same way about that person. Take Amanda Righetti who a lot of people have a thing for. Since she does nothing for me her scene was nothing special.
To be honest I don't watch any of these shows, so depend on you guys for heads up about a scene. Which is probably why I have so few favorites.
