Meanwhile, hostage Ann lay bound and tape gagged in a sleeping bag in the back of the van; her mmmphing had alerted Kirsten, who was about to let the driver off with a warning. The nutter, who had been following, then ran her down. Ann was then seen, taped hand and foot and gagged at first, in a caravan (trailer) on an otherwise deserted site. She is trying to persuade the more decent of her guards to let her go. Catherine (Sarah Lancashire), Kirsten's sergeant, found traces of Ann's captivity in the original house, but she couldn't tell her superiors as she had broken into the house on suspicion without a warrant. The cops don't know about the kidnapping yet, but Catherine is convinced that the serial sex offender involved is up to something. The Radio Times this week says that Catherine's quasi-private investigation leads her into great peril, so what is going to happen is anyone's guess. With 3 more eps to go, there are still lots of possibilities. The show is worth watching anyway, for the uniformly high quality of the acting, dialogue, characterisation, photography and sound. Hard to take at times, though, like Fargo on steroids. Tuesdays, 9 pm, BBC 1. (UK transmission) |

In the pic I posted her arms are just at her sides. In the movie they are tied to the arms of the chair. Like the person above posted though, likely just a behind the scenes shot. |

Definitely not a BTS shot. look closely at pic2 and you'll see its just a case of cropping,and that her arms are actually still by her sides. pic1 is from a different take altogether. the pic you posted is a screencap from the original 4:3 fullscreen broadcast which has later been cropped for 16:9. same thing happened with "idle hands" |
