It's a great pulp DiD illustration, just wished I knew what the magazine was. |
Tuesday April 01 08:57:23 2014 VAN's FiCTiON is REBORN!! |
Great News All! Effective immediately, from this day forward VAN's FiCTiON will be THE PLACE to go to for the very best in ADELE DAZEEM fan-fiction! I'm scrapping all the Damsel-in-distress stories and from now on will concentrate on the beauty and wonder that is ADELE DAZEEM! Her songs! Her movies! Her intimate cabaret performances! Her many charitable acts in tropical foreign countries! After all, haven't we all read enough about beautiful women being kidnapped, stripped naked, and tied up? Haven't we seen it all? Hasn't it all been said? Anyway... ADELE DAZEEM!! |

Shawn is speculating on how Mira (Kerry) and his buddy Gus took out the bad guy. He speculates that the bad guy tied them up, and then they got free. We see what he's describing, with the briefest of flashes of them supposedly tied to chairs. It's not even a full second, and I don't think ropes were even involved. |

Tuesday April 01 15:37:45 2014 Capture scenes help |
There was a mention of the recent scene in "Helix: Bloodlines", but to my surprise no word about the initial capture, which I found absolutely fantastic (then again, I understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder). The initial shock and surprise of the heroine at being caught, which eventually transformed into defiance and even anger at her predicament, all that while keeping common sense and not trying to 'play a hero' - easily the best capture scene I've seen in my whole life! I'm currently in the process of browsing the database for more such scenes. However, since the capture is often only mentioned briefly, if at all, I'd like to ask for help here. Do you know about any similar capture scenes - that is, scenes where the heroine is cooperative (because she understands resistance would be futile) yet still remains defiant (in expression, posture or minor struggling - NOT frantically kicking around like crazy, or trying to scream hear lungs out)? Gunpoint scenes probably represent this scenario best, but so can some grabbing and/or handgagging scenes (I'm not interested in knockouts of any sort, though). Any help will be greatly appreciated! Oh, and the only other alike scene I found so far (maybe to better illustrate what I have in mind) comes from "Knockin on Heaven's Door" - sadly, there's a putz together with the heroine. |

Tuesday April 01 22:29:29 2014 The Live-In |
Just saw this short film at a local theater. Features Lauren Shafer (had a great scene in "Mimesis") taken prisoner, shackled and bound with black tape and tape gagged. Decent scene. Best caps that I could get from the on-line trailer. |

Brief but some nice mid-range and close-up shots of a black cleave. A couple of shots were also repeated in the promo for next week, |
