Yes, you're right, it's Zatanna, a sorceress whose power is vocally based; she utters spells backwards. Her power is consequently neutralized by her being gagged. I don't thinl she has been bound and gagged as many times as the Black Canary, however. Nom there isn't any female Marvel Comics character who even comes close to having been bound and gagged as many times as the Black Canary or Zatanna. |

Monday March 31 06:29:31 2014 Choose |
This is the database entry for Choose: Title: Choose (2011) Medium: Movie Actress: Katheryn Winnick Description: Knocked out by a killer and carried back to a nearby motel. She wakes up tied (rope) to a bed, wrists above, feet also tied. No gag However, the official synopsis for the movie mentions another scene: The teenager Sara wakes up after a gust of cold wind is blowing her bedroom door. On the other side of the hallway is the bedroom of her parents, whose door is ajar. Sara calls them, but gets no response. She sees that her parents were tied up and gagged. Before they react, she grabbed at her hair. A voice tells her to choose the death of one of her parents. If she can not choose both parents will die. So, is there a scene for her parents? |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > Do you know if Mary Batson have been gagged in any > silver/bronze/modern age comics? There was the epic Shazam #23 cover in the 70s where she's dressed as Mary Marvel, gagged and tied to a falling bomb. She was shown briefly as Mary Batson bound and gagged in the "Crisis on Infinite Earth" series back in the 80s. Then there was Supergirl #72 cover, dressed as Mary Marvel, she's hanging upside down in spider's web with webbing over mouth. |

Wonder Woman in the Golden age was B&G a lot, also her sidekick, Etta Candy and the Holliday girls was B&G in multiple scenes in Comic Cavalcade 14 in a panel a villaness tie 12 girls (9 in the other panel, 5 in the rest of the story) |

Monday March 31 13:44:16 2014 Western Magazine Cover |
About 5 years ago, while looking for something else I came across a Western Magazine with a DiD cover. This was at the time when Ebay was making it difficult to download pictures from their site and so I never got to save it. I'm interested in knowing if the members know the magazine in question. The cover shows a western street in the late evening. the Sheriff is leaning against the wall of his office shouting a friendly greeting to the driver of a buck-board wagon. Unseen by the sheriff a buxom cowgirl lies on her side hogtied in the bed of the wagon. She's gagged OTM with a white cloth. It's a great pulp DiD illustration, just wished I knew what the magazine was. |

"When a Killer Calls" - frankly a sick movie imo which takes a lot of joy in its murders and mutilations, but the bondage looks very good throughout. |

Sounds very much like a classic scene from the German Soap "Geliebte Schwestern". Damsel's name is Mareike Fell. I am going to post a link on the video page. |

cicisaur wrote: > It's these? > http://www.bcotd.com/Pulp_archive//Speed_Western_Stories_A > ug_1943_V1No6_[M][W].jpg Very similar but I was pretty sure that the gag was white and the girl was in western clothes. Maybe my memory is defective seeing that this one has identical elements. |

Monday March 31 19:53:20 2014 magics secrets late alerts |
Caught something yesterday. Was watching "magic's greatest secrets finally revealed" and saw two scenes. It was on bio channel, was labeled season 1 episode 9, it does repeat on Sundays. Spoiler alert-if you don't want to know how the trick is done, turn away.. First trick. There's a big person-sized box with straps inside. They strap an assistant inside. Arms and legs spread and a belt strap too. They close the door, reopen it. She is now upside down. Open/close again and she is back. We learn the straps are velcroed on. She manually turns upside and poses. Second (and best) trick. Called spirit-box or something like that. There's a box room with 4 curtains to block all 4 sides. Inside is a chair and a few lamps and a chair. A "medium" (girl assistant) is "hypnotized" asleep, then the other girls tie her to a chair. Wrists in front, chest to chair, no leg bondage, no gag. Fourth curtain goes up, we see one of the lamps lift above the box and back into the box. Curtain comes down, she's still there. One more time, one more lamp. 3rd time, smoke comes up, curtain comes down, she's gone, ropes are still there. Reveal- There's actually a fourth assistant who lifts up copies of the lamps on poles. First few times, "medium" loosens her ropes, but doesn't leave them. Last time, she slides out of ropes and hides behind box. There's a great closeup of her hands that gets some of her chest and legs (legs aren't tied)in the shot. That's it. |

Monday March 31 21:27:42 2014 The Following |
Good scene in Following tonight in first 5 minutes. Girl tied laying down on table with hands tied above her head and ankles tied together. Mouth duct taped. Not one of the regulars but a good scene with a dark ending. |
