The goal was not to make extra work here, he and others need to do the legwork to check titles/actresses/episodes etc. |

Saturday December 13 09:24:52 2003 Revenge Of The Stolen Stars |
Anyone know this scene? I ask because, having just rented the DVD, the scene of interest (which is the last scene in the movie) doesn't seem to match the DB. To wit: rather than taking place in a ruined building, it's an outdoor scene with Love tied to a fence. We also never see her being grabbed from behind as described: we see her walking freely down the street, and next thing we know, the hero finds her tied up. And finally, there's little gag talk (if any). Taken together, these discrepancies make me wonder if this a second scene (and I somehow managed to miss the first), or if the DB entry is inaccurate. |

Saturday December 13 10:31:46 2003 Fastlane # 9521 |
Just for clarification of the rules: I called the title Fastlane (2002) as IMDB says, but it was edited to Fastlane (without year) like the other entry from the seris that was already there.
What are the rules? She Spies for example is called She Spies (2002) in all the entries? Now we're at it I am sorry this description was made late at night, there are a few typos: (I promise to be more careful next time) Description line 2 (Beginning with "Character Cassie..." "travels" should be "travel", and "midle" should be "middle" line 3: "has" (to hitchhike..) should be "have" to... line 4: "converastion" should be "conversation" Last I suggest, in the line beginning with "Near the end...." that "both damsels" be changed to "them both" (since Cassidy is one of them herself) -thanx and sorry for the extra work. |

Generally, TV shows don't need them unless there is ambiguity. They don't hurt though. Some have the dates, others don't. The rule is to see if any existing entries are in the DB, then follow that. |

Saturday December 13 11:52:06 2003 Re: Per- TV Series Dates Question? |
"Just for clarification of the rules: I called the title Fastlane (2002) as IMDB says, but it was edited to Fastlane (without year) like the other entry from the seris that was already there." That me, line up exact same for the search to bring up all entries. "What are the rules? She Spies for example is called She Spies (2002) in all the entries?" See what you're saying. There was some remakes of series, like Outer Limits also, there was some direct translated titles done on a figure came up the same as US titles, etc. That ongoing as didn't always work out. Those will be edited There was rumours of some re-titling, so two episodes put together to make a TV movie. Normally done 3 to 4 seasons into a series which brought up different dates. This ongoing Likely happen with Brian's recent idea of having separate entries in this case, the TV Series ones will go back to same as the rest. Best can ask of you at moment is to just copy in Title same as previous entry for the Search, and I'll sort them all later down the road. Thanx |

"having just rented the DVD, the scene of interest (which is the last scene in the movie) doesn't seem to match the DB." Okay. "if the DB entry is inaccurate." Likely, some fellas still editing based on Caps and not giving warning. |

Saru no gundan (1987) aka Time of the Apes With Reiko Tokunaga as the Unknown sound about right? "Actually, this sounds about right." Got it. "I'll narrow doen E/R, Hunters Blood, and Agatha Christie as well" Hunter's Blood & E/R have been sorted, help as I can with Agatha Christie. |

Please, I do NOT wish to be a troublemaker again!
I certainly understand why all entries to a series or TV show have to be the same, for search reasons. However, you COULD chose to say that all titles MUST follow IMDB, (That would be consistent and consequent) and edit BOTH Fastlane entries to "Fastlane (2002)" OR remove all the (2002)'s from She Spies and other series entries. I think consistency will eliminate future problems. Just my 2 cents. |

"understand why all entries to a series or TV show have to be the same, for search reasons." It an ongoing thing. "However, you COULD chose to say that all titles MUST follow IMDB, (That would be consistent and consequent)" Okay, point noted. "remove all the (2002)'s from She Spies and other series entries." I just re-reviewed that, it one of the possible Translation problem. Hasn't been, so agree with you. I'll get around to remove all the (2002) from them. |

I believe having entry for both TV Movie & TV Series should eliminate need for Man From Uncle, Simon & Son and a few others, so I'll get to them. But will be leaving the Outer Limits and other remakes be for now. I'll get around to it. |

> I'll get around to it. No, I'm going to overrule you here. It's not really a bother one way or the other. While consistency is a nice goal, you would be creating a LOT of work for yourself. There are 94 entries for TV series with "200" in the title, most of them dates. There are 273 TV entries with "199" in the title. Another 79 with "198" and so on. Too much bandwidth and editor time. Leave the ones with dates with them, those without can do without. |
