Record number: 9694 Title: Tatort - Bitteres Brot (2004) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Julia Jentsch Description: In the last 20 minutes, the blonde Johanna (Jentsch) is caught by a murderous baker. When we next see her, she is seated on the floor and her hands are bound in front with cream coloured bandage/crepe material to a large trolley. She is gagged OTM with the same material. Her feet/legs are not tied. The killer then chloroforms her onscreen, and she makes nice muffled mmphs under her gag, which slips down a little in the struggle. She is then carried off unconscious over the killer´s shoulder, and dumped on the floor of the bakery where we see she is properly gagged again. The villain then removes her gag and wrist restraints and pops her unbound but still unconscious into a silo. Flour then starts to pour in on the trapped girl, (and so it will look like it was an accident as she´s not tied anymore). She is rescued in the nick of time! _________ Record number: 9708 Title: Tatort - Bitteres Brot (2004) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Julia Jentsch Description: In this German series, Johanna Kemmerlang (Julia Jentsch) is bound hands in front and OTM gagged with what looked like a bandage/crepe type material. Something for everybody really, as she is also chloroformed on screen and then carried off, still bound and gagged but now unconscious, over the baddie´s shoulder. |

Record number: 9707 Title: The Sentinel Medium: TV Series Actress: Jamie Rose Description: Episode: Hear No Evil (2.13) Mid-way through the episode, recurring character Lieutenant Shelia Irwin of Cascade PD Internal Affairs (Jamie Rose), is captured by a cadre of bad cops. Dressed in winter coat & slacks (they shot the show in Vancouver, BC, I believe), hands cuffed in front, she's taken for a one-way helicopter ride to a watery grave; however, The Sentinel shows up in a second copter & a looooong air chase ensues. Eventually the bad cop about to push Shelia out the door is shot, she gets the gun (holding it in her cuffed hands), & forces the pilot to land. ...& once again a DiD situation for quite possibly the most BEAUTIFUL & underappreciated of Freckle Fox Celtic Cuties is virtually wasted. {Sigh} ____________ Episode title needs "" for search feature. Okay, boys had just "Sentinel", which this poster didn't agree with. Title: Ashes to Ashes Medium: Movie Actress: Tessa Wood, Olivia Carruthers Description: Low-budget British martial-arts/crime flick. In the last 30 minutes of the movie, blonde Arabella (Woods) is kidnapped from her car along with two male friends. In the next scene we see she is sat on a chair, hands bound behind with black tape, mouth gagged with grey tape. Her two male friends sit either side of her, in a similar predicament. There is a fourth chair too, empty. This is soon filled when brunette Felicity (Carruthers) is carried in over the shoulder of a heavy, her legs kicking. She too has been bound hands behind and gagged in the same way. She is dumped into the waiting vacant chair. Various good close-ups follow of Miss Woods´s gagged face, but we don´t really see much more of the brunette´s face until she is shot and killed (and sadly both ladies meet the same end). Guy alert though. __________ Being blocked out of the good google search again. Ask run title & actress through the search, post what info you can for better ID Thanx |

Thanx Apologies re 'Kuestenwache' title, but obviously I can't put the umlau (or however it's spelled) over the 'u' as I don't have German characters on my keyboard (unless you know how to do it, which would be a great help to me actually). Hence 'KUEstenwache' (as per the other DB entries for this series). I put 'Kustenwache' also as I suspect many of my fellow Brits will search for this show using that particular spelling. I have taken note of your comments re "" around the episode title and will try to remember that for future entries I may make. Also, re my entry for Tatort: Bitteres Brot (9694), please tell me that I didn't put in the duplicate entry no. 9708 as well; I don't remember doing that to be honest. Mind you, no.9708 is almost word for word lifted from a post I made in the Discussion over at Rob's, which was intended just as that, discussion. Curiouser and curiouser... |

The actresses' names are correct, lifted straight from the credits at the end, though I have never heard of them before (but it is low-budget). The only error I can see is that I refer to Tessa Wood twice in my description as WoodS - it is just 'WOOD'. I have tried to look at google myself, but I keep getting 'cannot find server' :-( However, I tried on a Yahoo web search just now and no luck. This is an accurate description though - the film was actually alerted to us in Rob's discussion page, and I confess that I'd never heard of it before. But whoever forewarned us of its showing over here was not wrong. It must be quite obscure to not show up in a web search. p.s. I forgot to sign the previous post re Kuestenwache, apologies. |

I just copy and paste from the IMDB, or in cases where actress on German film credits, but not in IMDB, I try running through google, then copy/paste. |

Thursday January 22 16:13:29 2004 Gallowglass |
Following entry is incorrect:
Record number: 2358 Title: Gallowglass (1993) Medium: Movie Actress: Claire Hackett Description: Well-made British murder mystery. Hackett is kidnapped from her car by terrorists. She has her hands taped behind her back, tape-gagged and blindfolded with cloth (on-screen). Later, in the terrorists' hiding-place, she's ungagged, but she remains blindfolded and bound. The actress in question is actually Arkie Whiteley (other credits include Mad Max 2) and her hands her bound with what looks like washing line, not tape. Don't mean to be picky but its one of my favorite scenes... |

I added the actress name, actually before visiting this page (note to myself: in the future, always drop in here first). Regarding the umlaut: Despite being German, I don't put the umlaut into the Db. I use ue, ae or oe, because we do the same in Germany when we can't use the umlaut (e.g. in email adresses). |

I just did a websearch on him and got the link below, which funnily enough is headed 'Ashes To Ashes', and has a gallery from the film. Sadly no DID images, but the brunette in bed (bottom right, first set of pix) is Olivia Carruthers, albeit not a good shot. I didn't try the trailer as it's late here and I'm going to hit the sack now, but it may have something in. |
