Joanna Going/Another World
Record number: 5691
Title: Another World
Medium: Soap Opera
Actress: Joanna Going

Description: Hands loosely tied behind back and very lamely gagged. She wouldn't have a good scene until the Columbo movie.

Record number: 9761
Title: Another World
Medium: Soap Opera
Actress: Philece Sampler, Joanna Going

Description: The evil Reginald Love has a complex plot going on. A henchman grabs snoopy Lisa (Going) and forces her to make a phone call. He then leaves her tied up and gagged with white tape in the phone booth.

This is likely the same scene since she only had one B&G scene in Another World. As I recall, the gag was a cloth stuffed in the mouth rather than tape. She pulls it out pretty quickly which might lead to it being mistaken as tape.

Got it, I'll check into.

"As I recall, the gag was a cloth stuffed in the mouth rather than tape."

Got it, thanx for the assist.

The Net
Just noticed this entry is incorrect. Also, a question, shouldn't the title read The Net instead of that reversed? Also, there's a missing gag scene from this show. A man and woman tape-gagged in a kitchen that's about to explode. Since the show doesn't run anywhere it might be tough to track down the specifics.

Angela Bennett (Langton) is captured by the bad guy in the middle of corn field about 30 minutes in. She's handgagged and dragged away. Nice mmpppffing as the bad guy says "I'm disappointed in you" as he drags her away. When action resumes, bad guy is in the front seat of the car making a phone call. He turns to look in the back seat, where we see Angela tied up with duct tape all around her body and with her hands tape-tied in front. She's also effectively gagged with duct tape. A couple good closeups shown, including her hair dangling near the tape-gag, as the bad guy talks to her. Later, he leaves the car and opens the back seat and pushes her down lower in the seat and throws a blanket over her. Some more nice mmpppffing as she struggles. Later, after the good guy traps the villain in a shack, he busts the car window and we see a extreme closeup of Angela still gagged and mmmppffing as she's rescued. Upon seeing Angela tied and gagged, good guy says about villain "This guy's got some serious mother issues."

Title: Net, The
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Brooke Langton

Description: Episode: "Harvest" (1.10)

Angela Bennett (Langton) is captured by the bad guys in the middle of corn field. She's handgagged and dragged into the back seat of a car. A bad guy binds her feet and wrists (in front), then gags her with a silver duct tape. Later, the bad guy takes her inside a warehouse, throws her down the floor and puts a blanket on top of her. She mmmphs and attracts the attention of the hero. The hero breaks the glass and rescues her.

Action occurs approximately 25 minutes before the end of the episode.

I posted the alert on this, but mistimed the damn VCR and didn't see the scene. However, I had the original and I'm pretty sure it was tape. It wasn't adhesive tape, but a looser and less sticky kind, like ankle wrap tape for an athlete. If you check the video, you can see her tape-gagged in a frame by frame as she shifts her head in the phone booth. It was not a stuff-gag. She ungags herself because she was lamely tied with hands behind. I think you even see the tape as she pulls it off.

I think that is wrong. I'll get out the tape and check.

Ok, I checked the other scene, it was a non-gag one. I changed this entry to read:

She is kidnapped by an older gentleman who is convinced she is his lost love. He is trying to take her somewhere and when she struggles he ties her hands in front. He uses the end of the wrist rope as a lead to pull her into a deserted mansion (shades of Dark Shadows). He then unties her so she can change clothes.

Definitely tape, I updated this:

The evil Reginald Love has a complex plot going on. A henchman grabs snoopy Lisa (Going) and forces her to make a phone call. He then leaves her tied up and gagged with tape in the phone booth. She rubs the sides of her face on her knees to loosen the tape, then stands up. She is rather slender and limber, so even though her hands are tied pretty well, she's able to reach around with her tied hands to pull the tape loose.

Meanwhile, Reg himself has to keep his daughter Donna (Sampler) out of the way. He ties her to a chair and gags her with a tight red scarf over the mouth.
