| Also strange was the fact that the two DIDs were not handcuffed when they were first placed in the cabin. Instead the kidnappers tied them up with rope, their hands tied behind their backs while seated side-by-side in chairs. Later they appear on a bed. When they were first shown on the bed, and up until they escaped or were released, they were handcuffed with black handcuffs, mostly behind their backs. Since the kidnappers had handcuffs to use, it was not apparent why they did not use them until later in the movie. And for some reason, the blonde girl had her hands handcuffed in front of her at one point...why? Because the plot required her to escape and free her friend -- and that is far easier to do with her hands in front (she used her necklace as a key)-- no other reason is apparent since the other girl had her hands locked behind her back -- they both spent a pretty uncomfortable night, it can be assumed. There are no real close-ups, except for one fairly good one of both girls' hands locked behind them in the black handcuffs just before they were released as the madman slasher closed in. |
